Pros:
  • Campaigns are super fun, love to see it. Would love to see more.
  • The command comms were really effective. I called a lot of stuff out, and I heard squad leaders responding to the callouts quickly
  • The split team assets and assigned roles makes us be very strategic. Totally changes the dynamic of the gameplay in a challenging and fun way. Forces us to think like a platoon/company sized asset rather than a squad sized element. It also balances the fun for the tankers a little more. We are definitely at our strongest when the tankers are showing up in force and the infantry is working with them to maximize the fun.
Cons:
  • The server lag was really, really bad. As someone who has regularly donated to the server for four years, it is so frustrating to see things like this. Having issues ignored for years is really demoralizing, so I hope that Regiment/S6 is aware of the issues and working to address them. I remember having to wait years for regiment to even acknowledge the lag issues of Tac East and being constantly told there wasn't a problem. I hope this isn't a continuation of that trend. 2nd battalion is the largest part of this community, and the most rapidly growing part of the community. That should count for something. If given the choice to have the best possible servers, I guarantee the support would come in to pay for that upgrade.

Element Callsign: (Able Squad) & (1st Platoon Leader)
Element Leader: First Lieutenant Rhodes.R
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
First Lieutenant Rhodes.R (INF 1)
Corporal Jay.JH (Assault)

Private Drezelan.O (Support)

Sergeant First Class Hermes.S (INF 2)
Staff Sergeant Bean.P (INF 3)
Corporal Baldrick.D (MG Squad)
Specialist Keif.A (Combat Engineers)

Solids
  • Good comms, hectic though
  • Good combined arms play
  • Strong aggressive pushes took points
  • Platoon comms worked out alright.
  • Amazing turnout.
  • Felt extra LARP. Massively improved the experience.
Improvements
  • Hermes needs to learn to read :ROFLMAO:
  • Tank press from the north during the attack on Chapel didn't work because we got enveloped from the north and got bogged down. Eastern press would have been better imo (it's what has worked in the past)
  • Role restrictions were a bit rough at times. Maybe more AT per team? I think we only had 2.
  • Ping and rubber banding was terrible and occurred throughout the entire match.

Pros:
  • Very fun concept.
  • Utilizing infantry and tank moving together at the beginning.
  • The easy start and tough finish.
Cons:
  • Server performance and rubber banding for some.
  • The team seemed to break during 2nd objective and everyone was running around.
  • Not enough call outs or pings.

Ah, gentlemen, allow me to share a rather fascinating tale with you. Now, as a humble non-Squad Leader, I shall refrain from dissecting the pros and cons of this operation, as I was not privy to the symphony of voices in command chat. However, there is something of great importance that simply must be mentioned.
You see, in my illustrious three-year tenure, I have attended precisely 100 operations. Of course, I have meticulously removed all the public operations from my grand total of 283, leaving only the finest, most curated experiences. And yet, despite this wealth of battlefield encounters, I must say, I never, not once, have I witnessed such an atrocious server performance since the fateful server update before Operation Cold Freedom.
Now, some might try to convince me that a grenade, frozen in mid-air like an indecisive hummingbird, is a common occurrence. To that, I raise an eyebrow. With over 4,000 hours in Hell Let Loose, I believe I have seen all there is to see. And yet, this is something entirely new.

Ah, but as I was filtering through my vast archive of public operations, I stumbled upon a delightful little memory of my 15th operation, "Rusina Runs Red." And at that moment, a particular clip sprang to mind of Mr. Kleisner.R, one I had wisely saved for posterity. Allow me to leave it here for your viewing pleasure. Perhaps it shall amuse you as much as it did me.

Element Callsign: Axis (Cant remember the Squad)
Element Leader: Second Lieutenant Swanson.B
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Private Giglio.M
Specialist Harris.W
Private Arnold.W
Specialist Lewis.P

Pros:
  • Amazing concept
  • Great Match plan from the commander. Everybody followed the man, except my squad. I noticed that the enemy didn't have much extended defense and it was easy to go behind thier line so I took it upon myself to deviate from the initial plan and execute some Airborne tactics. Doing so, i built a lot of back line (Red zone) garrisons and helped the team to push from behind the strong point. This was very effective.
  • Destroyed multiple back up garrisons
  • My squad was fantastic. They were understanding of the last-minute change in tactics, and they complied well with the adjustment. Our bounding was strong and we all worked well togheter
Cons:
  • Server performance and rubber banding for some. (not me and i didn't hear any complaints from my squad mates)
