To my friends of the 7th Cavalry Regiment:

My kidney transplant, however successful, has been wrought with some severe complications in my heart, and etc. It is with deep regret that I, at this time, must discharge from the Regiment that has been my home for over 12 years, since I joined in 2009 initially.

You guys have been a blessing to be apart of. I won't go into a long list of names, you know who you are and what you mean to me. I wish you all the best in whatever you do.

It has been my honor to be apart of such an incredible group of people.

Peace.

Onward,

Southside out.

Roark, you are a hell of a man! The spirit of the fight within you tackling your medical problems head on and keeping the best attitude about life. It is indeed an inspiration. I personally shall always remember our wacky and super fun planetside operations together! Thanks for being a part of that! Thanks for being such an enthusiastic brother to us all. I wish you the absolute very best in your life, your health, etc. and Truly pray for your speedy recovery! Keep the positive attitude, and whether you have a short number of days or a long number of days remaining on the earth if you keep the positive outlook you have always seemed to have on life, I am certain those days, however many, will be wonderful. Times get tough, especially when dealing with such a daunting situation, but always keep your head up and move onward as you say. You will always have a home here should you need an ear or a place to vent etc. Take care brother!

Hey Southside...I hope things go smoother for you and also hope to see you return to the Cav when you are back and kicking again.

It was a pleasure, especially back in the COD days. Crouch-only was interesting. Lol
