Element Callsign: Rusfor then full time admin
Element Leader:Sergeant First Class Westcott.R

Pros:

  • Good initial organization by RUSFOR with no dedicated leadership
  • Had a few good fights with BLUFOR in the center of the map...before admin duties pulled me away

Cons:
  • SEVERAL behavior issues. TKs followed by retaliatory TKs and general whining from there.
  • There NEEDS to be 2 dedicated admins planned out ahead of time...one on each side. I took myself out of the game to just admin...and when I responded to BLUFOR pings dressed as RUSFOR it didn't end well for me.
  • Several public players reported things that other Admins have been doing that might be bending some rules, but I will run this up the COC.
I would like to see a GM mode PVE event for FF in the near future. The PvPvE doesn't effectively showcase the training of 1-7 IMO.

I may have been on during the op until the Garry Owen pulled me away. I feel like we need some ground rules, would be great if we had some central leadership and made people squad up and remove the burden on platoon chat as well as people wearing opfor and greenfor uniforms. I was on Blufor and what we suffered from most was a lack of communication, which as the cav shouldnt be an issue, just a challenge to adapt to a more flexible and less predictable enemy. Overall its great to see the server so full so frequently.

Reflecting off of both MacTavish.J and Westcott.R, I think some additional planning before these events would be awesome, similar to how Arma 3 events are planned- where people decide what they want to focus on days prior to the OP. I get these aren't as organized as a sanctioned, internal Cav op, but I mostly mean there should be a rough command structure in place before the OP begins. There was no communication on the BLUFOR side, which makes it very difficult to coordinate what to do- especially with the mass amount of new players who don't exactly know what they should be doing.

Always fun, nonetheless, just takes some time to learn the game and what needs to be done!

Great stuff. I won't repeat what everyone else has said about communication, but I concur. The moment Mann.M MacTavish.J Hudson.B and I worked together in an organized fashion to assault a point, we got it done. We also need more people to run logistics to the bases so the greenies can play Barbie without nuking all the supplies. Lastly, a dedicated helo support pilot (whether just transport or weaponized) would be cool. All in all, I had fun. Thanks for putting it together!
