Cavalry Times - Volume 2 Issue 1
CAVALRY TIMES - FEBRUARY 2025 EDITION
7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment
Dear Cavalry Troopers,
As we step into February, the Cavalry Times brings you another edition packed with updates, achievements, and insights from across the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment. This month, we celebrate heroism, camaraderie, and innovation, showcasing the unwavering spirit that defines our regiment.
Honoring Excellence and Dedication
Last week we proudly recognize General John T. Chance, recipient of the Lifetime Dedication Award, for over 15 years of service to the regiment, and how his leadership has been instrumental in shaping our community, traditions, and mission success.
We continue by highlight the achievements of our members, featuring prestigious awards such as the Army Distinguished Service Cross awarded to Sergeant Tharion Grey, and the Silver Star awarded to Sergeant First Class Robert Herber for their bravery under enemy fire.
Operational Highlights & Tactical Reports
Our February mission report covers Operation Frequency Shuffle, where troops engaged in a fierce battle on Elsenborn Ridge. The push-and-pull fight between Axis and Allied forces showcased strategic adaptability, with the Axis ultimately securing victory.
Additionally, we introduce Arma Reforger to our lineup! This new title brings objective-based, team-focused gameplay, allowing console and PC players to train and deploy together seamlessly.
Cavalry Community Features
This edition also includes special features, including:
"The History of Valentine’s Day" – Exploring the origins of the holiday and its transformation over the centuries.
"Love Languages in the Regiment" – Understanding how communication styles strengthen camaraderie and relationships within the community.
"Cavalry Cuisine" – This month’s featured recipe is a Grilled Pastrami Burger with Spicy Fry Sauce, bringing a taste of Utah to the regiment.
Looking to the Future
With recent staffing challenges in S5, we are actively recruiting for key positions, including Film Lead, Social Media Lead, and Public Relations Lead. We need passionate members to keep the Cavalry Times alive! If you’re interested, reach out to Captain Anderson or SSG Whaley to help support our publications and media projects.
Stay sharp, stay vigilant, and let’s continue making history together!
Yours in service,
SSG Hunter Whaley
