Pros:

  • When we did have casualties we treated them quickly and efficiently
  • Our reaction to IDF was great during the assault of KT-2
  • We got to shoot our guns sometimes

Cons:

  • The comms between myself and -7 were very poor tonight
  • No medevac requests whatsoever
  • Mass cas was called incorrectly on -4 at one time and they were all yellow tags
  • Jump brief felt sloppy and the drop itself went poorly
Notes: Overall from my teams perspective, they didn't enjoy the Op tonight and had rarely any good moments. The main reason was I could give no direction to my team with a lack of communication from the PM, and the plan seemed to fall apart in the mid to latter half of the Op.

Pros:
  • As always, top-notch communication with CHAOS (Corporal Kastor.K), who also took the time to assist me on my first CAS op with the Cav!
  • The mission seemed well balanced from ground and air. Very cool moment saving HOG-1 and CHAOS from a Mig
  • Godfather did a great job keeping up with my newness and tendence to need new aircraft
  • Feedback after op was very helpful
Cons:
  • I had a difficult time tracking each group of allies some were very spread out
  • There were a few instances where a GBU-53 hit a vehicle and seemed to do minimal to no damage.

Pros:
  • Good Compress/Decompression based on react to contact and terrain
  • Engaging and Fun mission, great seeing buildings filled with contacts
  • Buddy aiding worked perfectly leading to no long uncon for 2-bravo
  • 1 remaining member of 2-alpha tried to save 3 red members
  • Good coms discipline
  • WILD and SPICY MISSION
Cons:
  • Holding orders at ill sighted positions during IDF contact
  • POW react of command based on ROE
  • Few minor mistakes during CQC but overall great discipline and conduct of basic drills and excellent execution. Great result from SP training
    Atlas operating in the open

Pros:
  • Brutal but a very enjoyable mission
  • Good Fireteam and buddy team movements with good MOUT.
  • Quick PCC/PCI conducted by Team Leaders
  • CLS had fast triage of wounded enabling us to maintain better combat effectiveness.
  • Overall good jump, and managed to count to 9
  • Really good coms with Misfit-2 enabling us to be flexible and bound while covered

Cons:
  • Lack of professionalism on verbal communications in the bird and also when on/between objectives.
  • Mission was a little ambitious in scope of distances to travel by foot in a limited time.
  • One fireteam was sniped by an AA gun while building clearing, with hostile AI inside (Arma moment)
  • ATLAS ignored a casualty handoff at a MASCAS and jumped on expectant casualties instead of the critical ones who were savable.
  • Friendlies jumped on an OPFOR static weapon
  • General noise discipline was poor on moment from the DZ to the DZRP and when moving to ORP1.

Pros:
  • Troopers had a good time.
  • Great comms
    • Both Platoon and Squad nets.
  • Excellent adaptation to situations as they developed.
  • Loved the patrol during CSAR from Zeus.
Cons:
  • Not much professionalism displayed on the insert flight.
    • Troopers were not listening to leadership and were causing problems with communication between jumpmaster and the pilot.
  • Spacing with the platoon was either too close or too far away.
    • Too close during manoeuvre, too far during SBF.
  • Ordered to break contact away from the intent established.
  • Missed a casualty status update due to platoon net traffic.
    • Later rectified.
  • Building from which we were to conduct SBF were not cleared.
  • Tasked as an understrength weapons squad to conduct CSAR outside of mutual support
    • Lead to more casualties and tying up of Misfit 7 for the last half hour of the Operation.

Element Callsign: MISFIT-6
Misfit-6: First Lieutenant Lewis.A

Pros:
  • Great leadership. SLs communicated and coordinated well with one another and the platoon. SLs actively sought clarity of intent.
  • Excellent CAS coordination, thanks to Chaos.
  • The platoon was flexible and adaptive.

Cons:
  • Got black-tagged and wounded again by Red Air.
  • Unclear from OPORD on how to handle POWs.
  • Numerous objectives and limited time prevented the platoon from conducting structured long halts for consolidation and resupply.
  • Continued to observe Troopers failing to use basic infantry skills like taking cover and using concealment.

Pros:

  • Good amount of medical work
  • Overall good operation and we had a good time

Cons:

  • Lack of direction/calls from 7 at times
  • Slow medical calls from other squads, by the time we arrived they were usually beyond saving.
  • Too long distances to walk at times

COMBAT AFTER ACTION REPORT

Element Callsign: CHAOS
Element Leader: Corporal Kastor.K

Pros:

  • Excellent show from both Fox.R (HOG) and DeVoir.W (LIGHTNING), great comms and effects on target. As SPC.DeVoir's first Op outing, job well done!
  • Large and constant target saturation, was able to literally constantly task both airframes with CAS calls, without diminishing enjoyment of the infantry - but also able to relieve them from being pressed by larger or armoured enemy forces
  • The enemy attempted scrambling several MIG-15 airframes, which turned into a cinematic scene of one strafing us on to of an AOI-1 bunker, -6 going down to autocannon fire, calls of "He's coming around for another pass, get off the roof!" and then SPC DeVoir's call of "Splash one." Great save! :)

Cons:
  • High airframe loss on LIGHTNING. New pilot though, first time juggling flight, comms, notepad for CAS calls and threats in the AO during an actual Op, which led to a few F35 shaped and priced craters ;)
  • About 30-40 CAS calls done at least, I've started becoming really low energy on comms towards the end.
  • First jump pass missed by pilot left of lane. Second pass just in/out of the chute.
  • Jumpmaster going way too slow on jump count for the first half, speeding up to squeeze us out by end of lane. Last few numbers (34-38) essentially jumped together.
  • As #35 I've barely avoided mid-air collision and tangling with #36 Lewis.A. I've landed and the first thing I saw was #34 Tharen.R 's heavy ass who unfortunately landed directly on me, 100% didn't even get to see me - and unfortunately killed me in result (died in buddy care, awaiting Atlas) :D :D :D
