Pros:
  • Very interesting concept, liked by my crew of tankers.
  • Great comms on both servers, great tank marks on server 1
Cons:
  • I like night maps, but some did not like that this was on a night map.
  • Would have been nice to have been going against two tanks with the same option to move around between servers depending on points captured

Pros:
  • Interesting concept
  • Defense held far longer than it should have
  • Artillery was very effective
  • Tank/Infantry cohesion better than ever
  • Competitive at critical times
Cons:
  • Need more time with leadership to plan since the team was a combination of multiple groups
  • Didn't love the team balancing, there was a real skill disparity on the trooper level
  • Too many squads tried to Rambo and make things happen instead of sticking to orders
  • Needed to win more gun fights
  • Need to react to calls for defense more quickly

Pros:
  • Great concept, really enjoyed the night map and the play between 2 simultaneous games
  • Loved being able to send a tank crew over to assist the other match
  • Squads communicated well, command comms were short, clear, and concise
  • Everyone reacted well, attacked when needed and defended when necessary
  • I had a great group of guys, and a great opponent
Cons:
  • Enemy tank was able to sit outside of my team's operating AO and shell/MG the 4th point

Pros:
-Had a lot of fun, was a tough challenge with strong gunplay from my squad and the enemies we faced throughout the duration.
-Love the unique operation concept, worked better than I imagined it would.
-Fun to play with a lot of Easy Company guys, haven't played with them much recently so that was nice.
-Great innersquad comms with my troopers, we had fun and they listened and performed fantastically.

Cons:
-Couple of complaints in debrief about the night mode and the fog.
-Wished the numbers came out more so we could see this on an even bigger scale.
-With the lower numbers, felt like we never fully had a hold on defense, had to leave numerous advantageous OP positions to reinforce and push back the enemies on Hill 05.

Pros:
  • Great concept very fun
  • Command comms were amazing
  • Movement between squads was organized and coordinated
Cons:
  • With the restricted AO we were not able to pursue a tank that was in the restricted AO or get rid of the arty

Pros
-2 intertwined map concept was interesting and felt if the planning was simplified I could see it working.
-Intersquad communications and local communications during Phase 2 was very good.
-Start of the match through Phase 2 was smooth.

Cons
-The spawn system, even if explained, was too complicated that whenever enemy fire & coms went off it was difficult to keep it straight. There were times we didn't keep the instructions in mind and frustrations were voiced on coms, but again, if the concept is not explainable in quick & easy sentences the misunderstandings will occur.
-Frustration with not being able to keep a cohesive offensive together, seemed like once we were on Pierre's Farm other teams would have to contend with enemy pushes on Rue or armor threats. It felt like we kept rubber banding within seconds and that just caused frustration.
-With the chaos of the last half of the match, some felt it might as well have been a pub match on TnT.

Pros:
  • Very interesting concept, everyone loved the phase 2
  • good communication
Cons:
  • defense really suffered. spent a lot of time bouncing between def and attack
  • no one letting the medic get them up.
  • Felt like command didnt ever have a clear plan was a lot of changing stuff super fast.
  • troopers who had to change to the other map they really didnt like that.

Pros:
  • Great concept very fun
  • Comms good at all levels
  • Provided effective SBF from the top of the beach to Hill 5
Cons:
  • Needed second tank on Utah for balance. We couldn't hunt tanks effectively. That said, SBF was important to holding to Hill 5.

Pros:
  • Interesting concept of two battlefields one effecting the other
  • The squad performed very admirably in every request made, nice flanking spearhead to take hill 5 from the east side and then the required fallback to church and the immediate falling into skirmish combat - 14 garrisons destroyed and 16 ops taken over the duration of the defense.
  • good pinning with the MG and destruction of enemy infantry
  • Command and control functioned successfully - tight comms and callouts
Cons:
  • lack of recon on axis for counts effected nodes pretty negatively over time on Utah map - caused an exhausted faction for command abilites for 30-40 minutes
  • not a lot else here to add, most of the ftx seemed to work well
  • 1SG.Groves killed me alot

Pros:
  • Able to hold Hill 5 against multiple attacking attempts
  • Smoke usage was really good and helped re-establishing Hill 5
  • Squad communicated well and worked well together
  • Command comms were clear and not very cluttered
  • Two map concept really cool

Cons:
  • Teams felt unbalanced even on a skill level a lot of people on the Allied side have not played a lot together
  • The match felt like a slog and a grind fest due to this a lot of my troopers didn't have a good time.
  • Wish there was more attendance

Pros:
  • good surrounds on attack !
  • good team balance.
  • I enjoy night maps!
  • great defence! On both teams!
  • Spawning at multiple locations was fun!
  • good design and idea would love to see it again
Cons:
-coms on my part and team at sum points
- numbers is allways better
- operation board maby was to much or not fully clear on some stuff
— maby one notch less on all the restriction. Just so stuff doesn’t get missed or forgotten or have the restrictions more spread out threw the match.
- lots of flankers leave little to no work for recon! It’s a good a bad thing lol

Pros:
  • Very fun concept for the FTX
  • Good communications and pings
  • Armor support was top notch
  • Loved playing on a night map
Cons:
  • Heavy use of "bush wookie tactics" it felt like there was never a moment where we didn't have a rambo camping in a random spot in our point. Which I think was a product of the majority of the offensive pushes being too spread out. If the allies would have rallied before their attacks they would of gave us a much harder time.
  • My squad was stuck on defense the majority of the match and it started to get really repetitive and boring for them after a while.
  • Opord was a bit confusing for a lot of the guys at first and it seemed most were not fully sure on what we were doing.

Pros:
  • Love the 2 phase, dual server FTX
  • Great communication
  • Airborne were given free reign for the majority of the match to do their job.
  • Troopers really shined in this FTX. All the training came together and the troopers never hesitated to understand what needed doing.
Cons:
  • Initial point defense was poor
  • Node placement was slow. Trucks didnt leave spawn before wall dropped. Need more match start training

Pros:
  • The concept of the FTX paid off in full, the Panther Tank arriving off Utah Beach turned the tide of the battle on St Marie. I absolutely loved the idea of two matches playing consecutively where the outcomes effect the other map in interesting ways and I hope Battalion keeps innovating this idea.
  • Only having 20 Troops meant comms were relatively clear and concise and information like airhead locations, enemy troop concentrations, and requests for help were passed effectively.
  • Excellent job by Axis SLs on keeping the team updated on said information. As a commander, I always felt like I knew where the Allied attack was coming from due to precise callouts and map markers.
  • Props to the Allied blitzkrieg at the start. I had our team building barbed wire along the roads and hedgerows north of Rue and you guys went around and came in force from the south. We were preparing for a conventional battle and you guys completely outplayed us.
Cons:
  • Being forced to only spawn on our one garrison in the four grid on Rue while the Allies were allowed over the 3/4 line meant they could cross and destroy all our garrisons on the next point without us being able to spawn there and stop them due to the rules. Not sure if this was the intention but if they hadn't missed one we would have literally had to spawn all the way back at HQ after losing Rue.
  • I hope we're able to get more signups for the next one to fill out both the maps!
