Pros:
  • Great fire support from -4
  • Excellent aggression on the push to the ICBM
  • Good use of tools given extraneous circumstances.

Cons:
  • Patheticly low turnout
  • Not alotted any time for reconnaissance. Was immediately spotted and engaged by an enemy helo, drastically slowing down the reconnaissance phase.
  • No proper vehicle composition or makeup that we use and train with
  • Unarmored humvees need to be phased out
  • Large amount of enemy air threats that we are not trained with or equipped against
  • Viking callsign without Strykers (should have been a Misfit or Bandit)
If your name is not listed, or if you have medal recommendations, contact mission OIC.

Pros:
Took out a large amount of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft (3x SU-25s, 3x KA-52s, 2x MI-8s)
Directed a javelin strike against ground targets
Did a lot of solid medical work
Had a great team to work with in terms of Atlas-1/2

Cons:
Radio comms were spotty between Atlas-1 and 7 due to miscommunication
Got too aggressive with the ASV and lost it halfway through the main assault, would have lost our munitions as well if we hadn't transfered the weapons crate out last minute

Pros
  • Lots of fun.
  • Good coms in the team.
  • Good problem solving at the platoon level.
  • All objectives complete.
Cons
  • Enemy Heli Fire resulting in black cas, it was a poor choice as it ruined the experience for 1 person who didnt have a chance to not die and as a 1 life took away their sunday afternoon.
  • Not enough time for weapon team to prep for all the rolls asked for. One example was getting the teams kitted took a long time and resulted in no time to empty vics for Stingers. This resulted in the team only having two stingers for what turned out to be 4-6 enemy air.

Con
  • Drive too long/uneventful
  • Atlas on platoon coms
  • Sloppy CQB at the end
  • Slow to get into the fight, takes too long to deal with air threats
  • Left vehicles
  • The squad got picked apart
  • Just leave the arsenal out of the OPs
  • Ftl dc every 20 mins lead to ad-hoc maneuvers.

Pro
  • Fun
  • Something at stake with the mission being one life
  • Good times
  • Leadership got picked up

Pros
  • Lots of action
  • Viking elements adapted to complete the mission objectives
  • One life is always fun
Cons
  • Too few assault elements to safely secure the airfield
  • At times portions of Viking elements were disorganized (quickly corrected in most circumstances)
  • Out of place deployment of a UH-1 Venom for assaulting an airfield with constant threat
  • Buildings and sectors weren't cleared and some sloppy CQB leading to blue-on-blue

Pros
  • provided care for multiple red casualties, sustaining combat effectiveness of the unit
  • great cooperation with the 1SG
  • great to hear appreciation from the troops for the work we do
Cons
  • pointless length of drive to AO, over 15-20 minutes of wasted time - between this and prep at base, we were at 1 hour mark before we even got in any contact at all
  • while fun to use a different vic, the silly MP APC was a poor fit - we either couldn't assist with its guns (.50 cal AND HE/Canister Mk19!) or we were used for pushes against unknown targets, with both medics inside (!). Then when we got out to assist troops, the vehicle got yoinked by somebody and destroyed by ATGM, along with all of our medical supplies. We had to work off ATLAS-2's supplies.
  • absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional attitude from one of the Viking leaders on the platoon net, yelling at me several times when I was trying to relay messages and contact other units on that net to get off "his" platoon net - despite the fact I was explicitly told by Viking-7 not to be on 15 due to low turnout and remain on platoon net for the whole of the Op. Even if this is something they weren't aware of - or they wanted medics on 15 after all and I didn't get the message, the whole thing could have been handled calmly and professionally instead of causing aggravation and discouraging me from further participation in the Op.
