Pros:
  • Public players causing chaos in the back lines, thank you to Bethea for lending additional S3 resources to deal with it
  • No server issues at all
  • Really proud of the Bravo Troop personnel in attendance and how they were able to make it work!
  • Thanks to all our guests for making a large scale operation work well!
Cons:
  • Inappropriate behaviour from individual troopers was flagged during the OP
Points for improvement:
  • There was a blue on blue incident that could have been mitigated with proper company-level comms. Related to individual troopers using OPFOR equipment (AT). If you want to use OPFOR equipment, SEEK APPROVAL from the next level CoC
  • There were crucial gaps in HQ for sustainment (Viking-5, Warhorse-5). These deficiencies were not appropriately patched and led to issues in sustainment and vehicle planning.
  • In the opening, the Misfit/Titan C-130J got shot down by a single AA piece. This was an unnecessary hump to the pacing

Pros:
No black tags of troopers while under Atlas care
Good team work
Good communication

Cons:
Frame issues
At DZRP multiple troopers were injured but a call was never put up to Atlas to get treatments done
Complete disregard of WP bracketing the platoon at FOB
Squads were a bit clustered especially when at the fob, started taking fire and entire platoon moved to the same side of the base
Troopers weren't cycling through CCPs to get basic treatments done leading to basic injuries turning to major wounds.

Pros:
  • Plenty of mortar targets
  • Good effect on objective Control Tower / Farmhouse
  • Good Traverse / Fire Missions
Cons:
  • Poor movement within the squad and platoon
  • Willy Pete - No displacement after receiving fire
  • "Tactical Clusterf***"
  • HALO fail left platoon on the "backfoot" causing people to rush to catch up to the plan

We need more public official operations to recruit, grow, and maintain this community. Having "official operations" that are public can help show what the Cav can do and organize. This can be assisted by dedicated people to help new players or "stragglers, " setting them up with comms and teaching them how to participate. Having 60+ people on TacR brings enormous visibility to the Cav as a whole and can do nothing but help us grow and recruit

Pro:
Good amount of contact at objective 3-6.
Good effect with Mortar.
Good effect with 240.
Good support fire from Sierra - 4.

Cons:
Low amount of contact at objective 1-2.
Low numbers so limited amount of AT.
Missed to having a 5.
Issues with ammo resupply for Sierra - 4.
Public operations need S5/RRD support at base, to handle all extra support that is needed for public players, how to get to action and rules for operations.
Public operations need mod support personnel for public player to get on.

Pros:
  • Concept of combined arms Operation using ALL MOS's of 1st Battalion was really great and really well done.
  • Platoon all unanimously seemed to have a great time
  • Chaotic and little to no intel provided big opportunity for true adapt and overcome execution went really well.
  • Platoon took NO black tag casualties from combat, went through many contacts plenty of combat.
  • HALO jump was a success.
  • Misfit was pretty much a very autonomous element in the Operation and only needed to communicate major developments in the OP

Cons:

  • Had a lot of radio problems. My radiopack actually glitched in the beginning and became void, so I had to have my PSG be an RTO to Bravo troop.
  • Several radio problems throughout Platoon.

Pros:

  • The squad and platoon demonstrated excellent movement up to and on the LDAs.
  • The jump brief and check-ins were well-executed, and the Halo operation was solid with no black tags.
  • The battle drills were conducted pretty well tonight, The Squad and platoon reacted swiftly to enemy patrols and the enemy maneuvers. Break-in and clearing of enemy COP was conducted swiftly with minimal casualties, and teamwork displayed between the fire team and squads was good at various points.
  • Communication, Reports, and Medical Aid were good and on point within the squad.
Cons:
  • There needs to be more deconfliction during assaults on objectives. Using lanes and phase lines could help slow the pace and ensure squads are spread out, reducing chaos.
  • Friendly forces are picking up OPFOR equipment and ignoring or denying requests to drop them, despite the platoon having sufficient supplies and capabilities. it also goes against our BN SOP for the use of OPFOR equipment. This also can cause Blue-on-Blue which might be the cause to the point below.
  • Friendly fire from distant forces targeting KT2 and the enemy COP. We took some dangerous close autocannon and mortar rounds that could have been masscass events.
  • Interruptions and inappropriate behavior during briefings and on Teamspeak are unacceptable. When attending official events, especially for briefs and operations, everyone should focus and minimize banter and let the MC, and Leadership conduct their brief and questions.

Pros:

  • The operation towards the end was good
  • There was a decent amount of medical with varying levels of severity
  • The communication internally in my team was great when we had to react to IDF or change positions to treat casualties

Cons:

  • There was some blue on blue tonight which from my experience came from Non-Cav personnel
  • Mortars landed on top of us twice even though I believe the mortar pits in AOI 4 was taken care of.
  • Communication between myself and Viking-7 was poor since we got little to no information from the infantry squads.
  • The first 45 minutes of the Op was us waiting around for too long, we have to improve on getting our guys into the fight so we can use as much Op time as possible to train their combat proficiencies.

Additional Notes:

I believe that the concept of the Operation was there but it was poorly executed, it felt like many problems arose from having too much going on at the same time which resulted in delays and Zeus to fix things.

Maybe if it is a Bravo FTX, we should prioritize filling out those elements and having maybe a 2 squad attachment from another platoon to assist as a flanking element could've been better.

Pros:
  • Saved a substantial number of troopers during causality incident
  • Team did their jobs well
  • Good movement with squad
  • Survived an IDF attack very close. Squad did not panic and got small
Cons:
  • Very little to do till the end of operation
  • Next to no communications with 7. No wellness checks even
  • Charlie push could of used ATLAS team

Pros:
Viking 3 endured good movement to objectives and good communications. Despite not being at full strength, we were able to adapt and overcome to the challenges including self crewing of the vehicle.

Cons:
Not being a full strength viking 3 had a rotating roster of crewmen. trying to keep sierra in the fight, we had 2 blue on blue incidents with misfit and our sierra, once during their movements in the hills and once at the airfield. When sierra engaged misfit in the hills they were believed to be the enemy idf position engaging viking positions. At the Airfield misfit was observed armed with RPG-7 Launchers. Viking 3 endured mass casualties in two incidents, at obj trainyard when enemy IDf flattened the position, and then before the airfield assault multiple of my alpha fireteam took wounds that resulted in being "red tagged" Some of 3 believed for the purpose of FTX it would have been nice for cadre to participate as viking memebers.

Pros:
  • Enjoyed myself
  • Good coms with ATLAS-4
  • LR56 coms were pretty good especially with 3 Atlas and 2 PL Meds sharing net
Cons:
  • CCP's were not utilized to treat yellow casualties
  • Lack of Yellow casualties being called up on platoon
  • White Phosphorus Ignored at AOI 1
  • My own coms were lethargic

Pros:
  • The squad was cohesive and moved in a violent manner.
  • We did the best we could with what we had.
  • Squad made sure that everyone was good on ammo without resupply.
  • The squad never suffered black tags during the entire operation.
  • It was great to help support Bravo Co. with an airborne jump.
Cons:
  • Squad movement was a little bunched up with the lack of lanes.
  • Having 2 DZRPs on the map was confusing to troopers.
  • A trooper picked up enemy AT, which caused blue-on-blue.
  • The time on the first OBJ was way longer than it should have been, even with the firefight that emerged.

Pros:
  • It's one of the best jump briefs to in-air times for an airborne op in a long time. Squads minded the timetable and were ready to go when it was time to go.
  • Atlas was on the spot for Op tempo, treating casualties with minimal opportunity to establish a CCP.
  • Good mortar support from 4 on airfield assault.
  • I took up Bn comms while maintaining platoon comms, which brought me back to my Marine Corps days and felt good.
  • It is nice to see larger-scale operations.
  • I really appreciate working with Bravo in a joint operation environment. I love it and want to see more of it.
Cons:
  • Individual troopers looting enemy OPFOR for RPGs. I'm tired of having to bring it up, honestly.
  • Troopers were interrupting during the Opord briefing and jump brief. It's the usual suspects.
  • There were possible disrespectful comments towards Atlas (I was not present), but disrespectful comments towards any trooper are unacceptable and should not be tolerated.

Pros:
  • Good communications with all Flight elements
  • Good comms with Chaos
  • Great coordination with Eagle Flight for target awareness and SAM warnings
  • Plenty of targets and ISR work to stay busy
  • Good CSAR coordination with Buffalo flight
Cons:
  • Communications suffered some due to not enough towers placed down. Used Eagle to relay messages to Buffalo
  • We were limited on weapons release outside of AA platforms
  • Having to only use south to north attack direction limited Raider to being over open water, no masking for helo to use as cover
  • Huge issue with thermal for both pilot and gunner, either not working or when did work the thermal layers were crazy to look at
  • Radio inside of Raider was not working correctly. Must make sure all helo crew members have backpack radio
  • Towards the end of mission when 2 MI-8 helos started to approach the raider lost all lift like main rotor or engine damaged but no warnings or indicator showing any damage.

Pros:
  • The mission overall went very well
  • Good use of S3 to fill a Zeus slot
  • Loved the larger scale of the operation
Cons:
  • Mishap with the AAA that caused Titan-1 to get shot down on first approach
  • Ammo used in AI small arms seemed unable to cause casualties
  • Blue on Blue
  • Not a lot for Atlas to do

Pro:
  • Fun mission with well crafted OPORD.
  • Excellent overall combined arms teamwork IMO.
  • Fantastic comms with both WARHORSE and VIKING-5 elements. Some transmissions were scratchy and unreadable so probably should have put out more TFAR radio towers.
  • Excellent CSAR of downed RAIDER-1.
  • Excellent hoist/hook CSAR of downed aircrew from the water. Emphasize that hoist/hook works very well when you have a) Stabilized bird, and b) Competent pilot.
Cons:
  • Additional TFAR towers needed for suboptimal comms clarity issues.
  • Some unfortunate rotary crashes.
*Note: I feel like I am leaving somebody out who also crewed on the bird... so if I am, please let me know who it is and I will add.
