Element Callsign: Allied Alpha 1 squad
Element Leader: Staff Sergeant Hellious.T
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Corporal Willis.B
Specialist Kona.B
Specialist Cris.C
Private First Class Patricks.C

Pros:
  • Squad performed all functions requested of them including far off lane sweeping routes that required point man and close local comms to communicate status and squad comms to relay to lead who was 2-4 grids away resulting in successful push back on enemy forces
  • Plan for checkpoint was executed well. became a bastion of defense
  • separated comms on discord from in game clarified responsible areas and alleviated cross talk for comms that may not have been relevant to the assigned areas
  • Flex of the squad to quickly reassign themselves rolls when required or asked and to probe lines for weakness was efficient and quick
  • The FTX setup was tight, the separation of objectives, equal importance for the most part of those objectvies, gave leadership an opportunity to decide what was most important for the victory path
  • Setup also split forces which made for closer skirmishes and more squad level combat in the streets
  • overall there were no complaints from the unit to object to running again
Cons:
  • was a little quiet at times around checkpoint
  • tanks seemed uneven here and there as far as impact per side - could have been an infantry impact on this as well

Element Callsign: Bravo Axis - St Mere Platoon Lead
Element Leader: Staff Sergeant Webber.R
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Staff Sergeant Avery.D
Specialist Etoh.I
Private Shaw.L

Pros:
  • Nice to see an outstanding 100 player turnout for an FTX! Thank you to all that showed up!
  • Spread out objectives led to some great pre-game strategizing and avoided a clump of 100 players within a small AO.
  • Hard fought game, even though the urban fighting was a slog, it didn't feel unfun at any point. Progress was made and then lost back and forth, but it didn't feel like we were hitting a wall at any point.
  • Utilized Half-tracks well in the red zone for close spawnpoints to the hardcap that wouldn't instantly lock out like garrisons would due to the Axis distance to the St Mere hardpoint.
Cons:
  • Trucks left ~20-30 seconds late due to not being at the "gate", making an already longer trek than the Allies had even worse.
  • VOIP bug hit over a third of our team about half way in, making organizing the team in command comms a nightmare.
  • Realized too late the necessity to pull in squads from other areas for a full coordinated push into St Mere. It worked, but was too late in the game and we were unable to capitalize before losing the point again.
  • Should have focused more on disrupting enemy line garrisons. Likewise, need to work on building more line garrisons ourselves, at times we only had 1-2 garrisons on the line ourselves.
  • Worked artillery into our gameplan too late in the match.

Pros:
  • Another 50 V50 Cav Match always great to see a full turn out!
  • Very long front line made for interesting attempts at flanks top to bottom.
  • Solid defensive line on the allies side
Cons:
  • German infantry transported waited until nodes were done before leaving. This gave the allies a major advantage on a map that we should have been on point first.

Element Callsign: Commander AXIS
Element Leader: Major Rollins.R
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Major Rollins.R

Pros:
  • 50 V50 Cav Match Great turnout!
  • Execution for setup was fantastic, overall planning was solid and everyone executed their tasks in record time.
  • Communication was excellent, comms were concise and accurate.
  • The entire team worked hard to overcome challenges
  • Leadership team was fantastic, great work was put in by all SLs and Platoon staff involved.
  • The concept seemed to be enjoyable, will look at something similar in the future.
Cons:
  • Map center point placement provided challenges for our guys to make it to the center point on time giving an advantage to the other team who was closer with fewer obstacles between HQ and the center point.
  • Comms went out in HLL for several Section Leaders leaving a void from the command chat for instructions
  • Map glitches with Hedgehog not being removed after satchels ( may have been static placement not removable ) but that contributed to times not being accrued
  • Artillery could have been better utilized.
