Pros
  • LOTS of contact destroyed, A unique mission set that was accomplished successfully
  • Good job creating dynamic contact from the mission makers, flanking was much appreciated. Thank you Bruce Quillis for keeping my hedgehogs in line!
  • Great comms on the platoon net
  • Great job on resupply and reinsert from VIKING-5 and BUFFALO
  • Great VIKING-6 Sierra crew, providing good times and neutralising a lot of contact
Cons
  • A few instances of blue-on-blue fires
  • Poor western security in planning
  • Hectic and disorganised actions at RP4
  • Lots of open areas might have made it difficult for the infantry
  • Limited Alpha Co Crewmen, but those that did turn out were GOATs.

Pros
  • Really Fun at Start
  • Fun
  • Crew Coordination
  • Seirra got alot of kills
  • Fun
  • Squad was good
Cons
  • Over stayed alot
  • RP4 was a cluster
  • PLT Cohesion was not there
  • Platoon level seemed messy
  • Game crash
  • Alot of engagement outside the effective range of the M4
  • Not a huge fan of placing stuff to not see the benefit of it (I like the idea of doing ambushes on a convoy or something with mines but this just didn't do it for me)

Pros:
  • Good response to mass causality incidents calls while breaking contact
  • Good communications on medical net
  • ATLAS-1 had good response and initiative eg Establishing CCPs
  • Got to use 5 line medical calls
  • Some intense firefights while getting back into the swing of being a 7
Cons:
  • ATLAS-1 was stretched and could not respond to calls or would take a long time . Especially with going uphill. Needed an ATLAS 2
  • Had to take initiatives for me to sus out medical needs otherwise would take too long. Low calls to 7
  • Some instant black tags with the break contact delay at RP4 striker being destroyed
  • Had to step away during OP for IRL stuff so sorry if missed calls

Pros:
  • Fantastic OPORD.
    • A lot of work was put into it.
    • Planning was excellent and we were set up for success from the get-go.
  • V-net used with high efficiency.
  • P-net good with brevity and an incredible amount of information passing through.
  • Excellent break contact drills of expedient nature after a bit of practice.
  • Comms with buffalo was good. Expedient and to the point.
  • A lot of contact and engagements across the board.
    • Resupply was needed often and by all the squads.
  • A lot of distance was covered with help of the vehicles.
    • Very good job by all of the crews.
  • Delaying operations seems to be very effective and we're able to conduct them within given standards. This is definitively something we should do more of in order to exceed the standards.
  • Very fun with the dynamic mission and multiple attack angles by Zeuses and OPFOR.
  • Great flexibility by the entire platoon.
    • 6, changing plans on the fly.
    • 4 and 1 filling gaps and taking up each others positions when needed.
    • 2 stretching and screening as needed.
  • Got to call Steel Rain protocol.
  • Great immersion with the HIMARS

Cons:
  • We had a mishap with executing a SQF which caused a delay with preparations; compounding to early contacts.
    • In essence it only changed our planned events. It still unfolded as a situation we had to overcome.
  • Phase line and screening limits were not adhered and ultimately lead to a blue on blue incident.
  • Forgot to brief resupply crates at all the RPs to Zeus which caused a disconnect in intent.
  • Break contact was mostly good but we had two moments where a delay and it had fatal consequences.
    • V2 had a delay on getting to the rest of the platoon thus getting cut of from us and not getting mutual support. This led to at least 2 black casualties.
    • At RP4 everyone came to the resupply and refused to leave the "X". This resulted in 2 destroyed vehicles and multiple black casualties.
    • As a consequence to this we NEED to, as a group, get better at breaking contact.

Pros:
  • Excellent in-team communication, and communication with -7.
  • Effective monitoring of the vehicle net led to early reactions to some casualty calls, very beneficial for awareness.
  • Decent amount of work towards the end of the OP, with ~5-6 red/immediate casualties to work with, plus a few yellow/routine.
  • Generally speaking the "delaying action" was realized effectively, definitely the best iteration of this mission profile I've seen since joining 1-7. This was a really well run OP from the MC and OIC perspective and a good way to end the month!
  • Excellent coaching of non-billeted medics from Corporal Holiday! Love to see new folks interested, engaged with and learning our unique skillset!
  • Good vibes in the Stryker as always! Excellent team dynamic.
Cons:
  • Lack of medical turnout meant that Atlas-1 had to be split by buddy team, and was very limited with the amount of terrain we could cover effectively.
  • As cool externally as the M1133 Pandurs are, the limited mobility and situational awareness for the team is awful.
  • Mountainous/hilly terrain further limited the mobility of the MEVs, leading to multiple incidents of casualties expiring before we could arrive on scene. It would definitely be more conducive to success if we used our soft-top HMMWVs or pretty much any light vehicle for this terrain.
  • The above conns, and the lighter casualty load in general during the first half of the OP meant that our Bravo team got significantly less hands-on with casualties, as they were frequently dispatched to address casualties further from the RPs.

(There were more but I am completely forgetting their names)

Pros
  • Plenty of contacts for these trigger happy infantry folks
  • Dynamic mission requiring many tactical decision to be made in the field
  • Mission required implication of bounding/area suppression/tactical withdraws
  • HAD JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF CHAOS (NOT THE ELEMENT ;))
Cons
  • A few instances of blue-on-blue fires
  • The lack of coordination on resupplies for Sierra's left many engagements without their support
  • Spacing

Pros:
  • Excellent OPORD.
  • Definitely good amount of stick time considering this OP's mission.
