Element Callsign: RAIDER-1
Element Leader: Major Dread.M

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Major Dread.M
Warrant Officer 1 Grizzle.M

Pros:
  • Interesting map layout
  • Challenging positioning with lateral forces/greenfor
  • CHAOS ran by Mason is the GOAT
  • Decent engagements
Cons:
  • Lots of laser designation by drones create an issue with capturing targets quickly
  • Infantry kept taking over Reaper's drone (not cool)

Sergeant Crowley.T
Pros:
  • Did some good recon
  • Some solid opportunities for contact
  • Got to drive UN vehicles
  • Were able to neutralize multiple air contacts
Cons:
  • Slow-paced op (but to be expected for a recon op)
  • Positioning was a bitch stretched out at times

Element Callsign: Atlas-1
Element Leader: Second Lieutenant Sam.T

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Sergeant Westcott.R
Corporal Velasquez.J

Non-7th Cav Personnel:
ExpendableJoe
Dr.Weird
Swift

Pros:
Good comms with everyone.
Excellent work from Westcott as 2IC.
Public player stepping up as 1IC for Atlas-2, awesome initiative.

Cons:
Slow OP, however, is expected.
Unable to do planned downtime mobility due to the random appearance of a civilian(?) and random militia/OPFOR in our already cleared and empty town.
A predictable ambush in the empty town was predictable.
Vehicle permissions were incorrect (no-vehicle monitor, defibrillator, or dialysis capabilities).

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Sparrow.P

Pros:
  • I got to shoot a lot
  • Always Busy
Cons:
  • Was a bit lost on what the mission was either it was reconing or protecting the convoy for the initial half
  • TFAR issues (using ctrl+page up and ctrl+page down to adjust character in vehicle chair but it lead to my short range switching radios.)
  • Always busy with non-5 work (driving, shooting) expectations maybe off as it was my first time 5ing

Element Callsign: BUFFALO-1
Element Leader: Warrant Officer 1 Hamm.C "Hooker"

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Private First Class Sawyer.H

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Spitnale.K "Corporal"

Pros:
  • Nice OPORD. Good concept.
  • Everybody did good work and we enjoyed hanging out with our friends.
  • Awesome and successful Hoist/Hook opportunity at ENDEX. These are always super-fun and I think the hoist is under-utilized, just like FRIES is (as long as you have competent pilot and stabilized aircraft AND competent chalk leader instructing and counting [FRIES], it works very well). We should do these more often.
  • Good teamwork and comms between Pilot/Co-Pilot/Crew Chief.
Cons:
  • Extremely quiet/mundane OP for BUFFALO. Tasking was nearly non-existent. Just ISR.
  • Would strongly suggest incorporating more Combined Arms Battalion activity/energy/participation for Warfare Wednesdays so we can best showcase the variety and versatility of The Cav (especially during recruitment drives/efforts).
  • Some of the things mentioned in the OPORD just didn't happen. No reinserts, not even one. No resupply, not even one. No evac of any UN personnel, not even one. Would have been nice to have some additional tasking peppered in to this OP.

Non-7th Cavalry Within Element:
  • N/A

Pros:
  • Fun Bravo Operation
    • One of the best recently
  • Recon
    • Felt impactful
    • Identifying who and not what was unique and immensely fun
  • OPFOR Tactics
    • Solid L-Shape Ambush
  • Drones
    • Drones
  • Contact
    • Solid contact at end for a Bravo Op

Cons:
  • Contact
    • Contact Throughout was lacking
    • Squad was personally not involved in the fights that did happen
  • Last To Formation
    • Pander/AI crew woes made our start super rushed
