Name of Combat Mission: Tactical Tuesday
Campaign of Combat Mission: Tactical Tuesday - Operation Nightmare
Number Within Campaign: 1
Game: DCS
Server Hosted on: =7Cav= Tactical Realism 1 | SRS Req | Fox3ms.com V3-18
Date of Combat Mission: 11JAN23
Time of Combat Mission (Zulu): 0200Z (2200)
Mission Controller: Chief Warrant Officer 2 Baruch.J

Mission Summary:
The primary was to attack the coastal towns of Dzhugba and Tupase. Both towns had been repurposed to serve as major shipping ports for the region.
During the initial attack, the Navy was able to eliminate key components of the defenses located at Tuapse and Dzhugba. However they were not able to neutralize all threats in those towns.

In addition, after the initial attack, enemy forces scrambled to defend the airspace. However they were successfully repelled.

Pros:
  • There was good amount of coordination with the various airframes participating in the operation
  • Everyone was able to get a few kills, whether a2a or a2g

Cons:
  • Primary Objective: Of neutralizing the towns of Dzhugba and Tupase were fully completed.
  • We need to prioritize SEAD/Wild Weasel before proceeding with CAS/CAP
  • Mi-26s refused to die, even after being hit repeatedly with Aim-120s and AIM-9x. Will be replacing them with the Mi-8s

Additional Note:
Mission helped identify a small number of issues that will be resolved with the foothold mission
