Pros

  • One of the best operations for Charlie company that I have seen in a long time
  • Pure infantry action with little support ex Atlas
  • Communication between the platoon was exemplary
  • 5 controlled SBF elements superbly
  • Bandit worked with Misfit effectively

Cons
  • Situational awareness sometimes lacking (uncon troopers within ~10m of friendly forces)
  • React to contact could be more violent
  • Could have rotated units better so that squads got into the action

Pro:
Reacting to the very rare instance of contact for my squad was excellent.
Everyone listened to their FTLs.
Movement and communication was good.

Con:
Operation was quite boring in our viewpoint.
SBF position wasn't great outside the last town, leaving our squad to basically sit twiddling their thumbs most of the time.
Platoon Comms need to be worked on. Many people weren't using proper radio etiquette.
Scope of the OP left our squad to essentially clean up after the assaulting elements pushed through in the main areas, leaving a bad experience on the public players in the squad.

Pro:
Good comms with A1 and hitman 6
Atlas 1 was responsive to Dispatch order
I was happy with the 6 Lines I was giving tho may of been slightly out of order.
Always good to see a large attendance

Con:
Acre issues throughout Op had to reset multiple times
First Aid by bandit squads was horrible.

Con:
Cover and concealment could have been better when squad set up positions
Atlas team ran off without treating bravo team leaving squad to fall behind on obj 3 assault
Blue on blue

Pros
  • I loved this operation very much; foot patrols are, without a doubt, one of my favorite
  • The mission controller provided realistic, plenty, and milsim-level of combat for the company
  • Ambushes were well placed and realistic, but not predictable
  • Squads moved really well together, and the command control from 5 was absolutely on point

Cons
  • ACRE WAS BAD today. I know it happens every op with people, but this has been a consistent problem
  • Terrain movement for the last assault was a bit abysmal, but there was very little choice in how we could maneuver. Understand the reason, still a con having to run through an open field.

Pros
  • Good internal comms
  • Decent AG work
  • Good obj 2 reaction
  • Good obj 3 ending
  • Killed a BRDM

Cons
  • 3 black tags
  • Hectic mission
  • Surprised by Ambush we should have been more prepared
  • Ify Security
  • A lot of moving and not a lot of effective fire. (the first 15 seconds of a fire fight is crucial to win, we need those weapon teams in position to fire back an overwhelming amount so platoon may move freely.)
  • largely disorganized, scope of op is too small for amount of troops
  • too much movement for the weapons squad, should of been in positions prior to the gun fire
  • had a miscommunication with medical dispatch. called in grid for inj men, and medics came to me not my men (dont take it too hard on yourselves, i wasnt too far away)

Non 7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros
  • Communication Solid
    • Traffic Clear & Concise
    • BRCC paying off
  • Reaction to Contact Superb
    • Resulted in no in-squad loss of life from a <50m ambush while being lead element for the company
  • Contact Amount
    • Bandit-2 had it's share despite being understrength
  • Patrol Op
    • Mixed feelings about type of operation
    • Overall well-received
    • Change-of-Pace is always good
  • Mission Control
    • Creation of a very good FTX in under 48 hours
    • Good demonstration of Charlie's abilities

Cons
  • Mission Logistics
    • Step-off approx 30min after planned load-in time
    • Alleviated by low-level leadership
  • Enemy Commander Absent
    • Enemy very static
    • Little maneuvering or movement to contact

Element Callsign: Misfit-7
Element Leader: Corporal Norman.B

Pros

  • Excellent operation with the perfect amount of resistance. Not so much that the Company could effectively demonstrate their work at SPs, not so little that it felt like a parade rather than a military operation.
  • Misfit first-aid was excellent, I arrived on scene to troopers who had completed all first aid tasks that were available to them. This made 7 and Atlas' work much easier.
  • Despite the breakdown in comms, Misfit managed to still execute the battle plan effectively.

Cons
  • Radio breakdown was terrible. I could hear a few people, but because I did not know who was unable to contact me, I had to ran from unit to unit to check on medical status.
  • Some comms breakdown on LR 15.

  • Good responds when giving orders

Cons
  • Situational awareness sometimes lacking (uncon troopers within ~10m of friendly forces)
  • Comms at the start were broken i could here some people and other couldn't here me
  • Often times where both atlas team are in the same place
  • The were times miscommunication with the status of people and how many people were down
  • 1 or 2 cases of blue on blue on atlas

Pros:
  • Fun operation had by all.
  • Whole 1/2/B/1-7 filled Bandit-3.
  • Squad cohesion on point throughout.
  • A good opportunity to learn how other companies work and look to implement how it could be approached from another roles perspective.
  • Good formation execution and staggered platoon movements.
  • Reaction to contact performed well.
  • IDF drills executed correctly.
  • No black casualties
Cons:
  • Much like our SP beforehand the operation felt rushed and better planning is required in order to coordinate and liaise the use of TacR by various squads for SP.
  • All major contact taken in a 5 minute period.
