Sorry Burton.P too many people for my poor brain to try and keep track of. Also if you could quite swapping names like most people swap socks would help ya dink. Which name would I tag you as? Aukerman? Burton? whatever you'll be using tomorrow or the one you'll be using a week from now?

This will forever be my favorite Cav moment. On 02SEPT2016 Cass.A Rauscher.C and Bell.K (cannot find account) were in the S1 Operations TeamSpeak channel shooting the shit as always working through the spreadsheets when my wife walked downstairs and tell me that her water broke. Stunned as a first time father, I asked what I should do, and all three of them told me to take her to the hospital. My wife gave birth at 1337 EST, after 10 hours in the hospital, to our wonderful, now five-year-old son.

Don't mess with De Ruyter's scotch....XD

Seeing some of those names punched me in the gut a bit. CSM Cold, Argus, Thornton, Ibeam, Nguyen, Blackburn., Porter, Rancer.... Jesus. Memories.
honestly same... I'm in there too. Good times.

The night that we found out CSM Ron Cold has passed a moment of silence was instituted across all the servers. The thing that sets home what the Cav represents is that everyone in the server - public players and members alike all met at the flag pole and gave a salute in his honor. Normally it was like herding cats on the ARMA servers back in the day. But, in this instance the response of the community and members was something to be proud of.

The maze of hell that Schmidt.A made for us back when he was with us little people still as our SL.

CQB tactics the entire way through were textbook, the plate to plate, the callouts, it was buttery.

Then right at the end schmidt pulls in an entire platoon worth of guys in a 9x9 foot room.

Long story short.....we put hand frags and 40mm into that corner....the meat factory corner.....the blood......

Anyhow, it was and still is one of my favorite things we did to focus a specific training goal, and just racking it up on the body count.

If I can be straight up honest though.....some of my best memories in the cav have been staying up way later than any sane person should and just talking. Getting to be the listening ear to some of the finest folks I have honestly had the pleasure of chatting with. The fact we get to a point around here that we peel back the covers of our fantasy worlds and connect as people.

We are one hell of a big family, and like any family there is going to be some trip to the hospital, and some trips to disney world (or a sweet gun range if you're me). Dont forget the folks around you and the hopefully positive interactions we can have as profesionals.

This was the moment that I feel in love with the CAV. My first OP where at the end people were just messing around and having a good time together.

Drinking coffee and just shooting the shit with others with our webcams on Discord. Appreciate gaming, but it’s the people here that make this our fraternity!

Wow! Too many memories man...

I joined in 2009 initially. I joined COD World at War and eventually became its Company Commander. We used to do a King of the Hill event every month as an operation. Those old COD 5 maps were so much fun. I'll never forget the mass exodus of most of C/2-7 back in 2011 when the then GOA and I came down on those guys in C/2-7 who were leading the crew. Over 70% of the company left and formed their own clan called the Cartoon Generals in mockery of our leader then. It was a sad time for sure.

Most of all, I'll never forget all of the good times I had with Chance and whoever would drop by in his office. We'd have a lot of laughs and fun along the way. Most of the best moments for me over the past 13 years were in Chance's office as 2-7 Commander, or Chief of Staff or whatever. Ronnie usually came logging in jumping in channel to, "save the General," from old Southside. LOL!!!

I will never forget the good old days, even as tough as some of them were....... I'll leave that there and not say more. ;)
