Hello!!

As some of you may or may not know, we have recently started a Hell Let Loose Starter Platoon for Console. We are currently up to 13 members with a few more on the way! I want this to be a common place for the PC players and Console players to introduce themselves to each other!! After all, we all fell in love with the same game and we might have a lot in common with the other players on different platforms. Let's try to not spam the thread but instead post some introductions!

I'll lead us off!

Little bit about me:
I am 25 years old and I live in Virginia Beach, VA. I currently work full time for a military contracting company at Naval Station Norfolk and I go to school part time for Business Administration.

In the Cav, I wear multiple hats. My primary billet is the Company Commander for C/2-7. I am also 2IC for RRD (Regimental Recruiting Department) and I am a Senior Drill Instructor.

When I first joined the Cav for Hell Let Loose 1 year and 9 months ago, we had 1 company with 34 troopers in it. Since then, we have grown to 3 companies and over 185 active members for Hell Let Loose alone. There will always be people around to help you out!

Thank you,
CPT.Budd.D

Welcome to the Cav brothers (and sisters?).

I am 1LT Mix. I have been in the 7th Cavalry for about a year and a half. I am currently the platoon leader for the Airborne platoon in the HLL PC AO. I am also the person in charge of getting Operations together for HLL PC and am active in writing the classes that teach our strategy and tactics. I may have helped some of you with your enlistment and am glad to know you and have you with us.

Hopefully once you guys get private servers I’ll be able to share some of the classes, operations and general lessons learned with you all so you console guys can benefit from the work we have already put in on the PC side of things and hit the ground running!

Please know that you guys are welcome to play in all of our operations on every platform and game so if you have a PC and want to jump in on some Arma or Tarkov or even HLL on PC you can do all of that too!

Hey Everyone,

Name is Mike, 28 years old and live in suburban Atlanta with my wife and 2-year old son. I am currently an IT/Management consultant working largely from home. About to begin my MBA here in January too....so busy times ahead...

Prior to that, I was an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army, getting out in May 2020 as a Captain. I graduated and commissioned from West Point (United States Military Academy) in 2015 and have been stationed at Fort Benning, GA and Schofield Barracks, HI. Have a lot of experience with how the CoC and Battalion-level operates as I’ve been a rifle platoon leader, heavy weapons platoon leader, company executive officer (all with 2-27IN/3IBCT/25ID) and a company commander (was a CO on Sand Hill for basic training). So, happy to offer some of the real life input should anyone want/need/or care for it haha. Lastly, I’ve done most everything an infantryman can do besides shooting an enemy of the United States in the face (unfortunately)…I got my Ranger Tab, Airborne Badge, Pathfinder Badge and Expert Infantryman Badge during my time.

All that being said, I love playing the Infantry Officer role (squad leader) in HLL but don’t mind contributing as a member of a squad, taking and following orders! Happy to be a part of the Cav's new HLL Console starter group - feel free to reach out about anything 👍🏼

Mike

Hey lads,
I am Matthias O'Connacht from Ireland and I live in a wee quiet place in the province (you guessed it) Connacht!

I am planning on grabbing a new console so I might hop on the Cav's console's side too hence this post.

I went to the Dún Mhic Aoidh military installation to train for my Communications Operative Course and graduated successfully. I went on to become a field communicator within the CIS and after two years was deployed to Lebanon as part of a joint Irish-Finnish UN peace keeping mission also known as Unifil.

I was responsible for communications between units while in the field and translating between all the different nationalities serving within the main UN force. When I completed my tour of duty under the UN I returned to serve another year at home and reached the rank of Saighdiúr Singil, 3 Réalta (Private Three Stars) I am currently in the reserves which allows me to maintain marksmanship training and general fitness training in my free time.

I happened upon the Cav when I was first looking for another game however once I saw and experienced the game and the lads here I was instantly sold, Bunch of solid lads!

Perhaps a fun side-note: I am currently a tattoo artist!

Hey'all!

I'm currently, the ASL for A1C The Fighting Roosters! I joined the Cav about a year and a half ago, after I lost my mind being kicked from a pub squad for being the first in the squad to use my mic in a round. Loved HLL and the fact that some real world tactics were actually applicable in this game. I can't believe it's been a year and half already! Excited that we're starting up a console HLL platoon, even though I'm not moving from PC.

I'm Canadian, and a prairie boy, but I've lived all over the country. Travelled the US a ton, and the world. My favourite place is the UK and I've been there more than anywhere outside Canada. I'm fairly fluent in French, and due my German grandparents, have a basic knowledge of German.

The military is all I've known as far as a job goes. I was infantry for almost 13 years, served in Afghanistan and did practically all that could be done. I was a naval electrician for the last 6 years and after a love hate relationship with the ocean... I'm now with the Royal Canadian Air Force working with IT and networks.

Hello There!

I am, Private Thrawn a.k.a. Grand Admiral Thrawn. I am new to the Cav as of a month ago and hope to have many years here in the Cav! I live in the State of NY which isn't saying much its fairly crowded here and dislike the Cities (too many people). But I enjoy tanking in the Cav on HLL the Iron Knights ride together and crush all opposition. I have no military experience nor will i ever most likely. I cant achieve my goal of being a Tank Driver for medical reasons, mainly the Chiari Decompression I had when I was 7 and some form of Kidney disease. But nevertheless I strive to become an elite soldier/ tanker and SL one day but with that requires not only training but discipline.

Also as an FYI so many of you don't later on go and be like "WAIT WHAT HE'S GAY?" yes I am bisexual and tend toward more men. (Fear not comrades) I haven't done anything to make you think otherwise and nor should you think different. I stated this to prove that the Cav is open to everyone and that we are all adults at the end of the day so no craziness.

If anyone has a inquiry or just needs a shoulder to rest on for any reason... my DM's on Discord are open just search up Thrawn in our discord server.

P.S. to prove I am a Star Wars fan.... "We are all the Republic!" "Ride the Storm!" "For Light and Life! "For the Rebel Alliance!" "For the Republic!" "For the Separatist Alliance!" and last but not least and something that is tattooed on my body.... "Long Live The Empire!"

Sup,

I'm Beats, English but currently living in the Cayman islands. Married no kids and getting to the dreaded 30's at the end of this month :(

Randomly decided to download HLL one day after getting bored with Squad, jumped into 7th Cav as my 2nd server and decided it looked like a nice community to join. I played competitive CoD2 and MW2 in EU and also dabbled with Squad on a competitive level, unfortunately my reactions are not what they used to be.

I am a Detective constable working currently in Cyber crime/digital forensics but I specialise in investigating CSE offences.

Fun facts:
  • I drink far too much diet coke
  • I have far too many hours in Dota 2
  • I have far too many hours in EU4

Look forward to playing with you new guys and I will probably pick up HLL on PS5 over the next few weeks.

How would you compare HLL to Squads??

Movement is a lot more fluid, gun play is more tuned and the pinging system is superior.

Assets are better in Squad, vehicles are better in squad and scope of the battlefield is better IMO
I’d suggest that the ticket system/lack thereof is a key but subtle difference too. In Squad you can win by camping and killing your enemy more than they kill you. In HLL playing the objective is the only path to victory so there is more motivation to make desperate pushes into withering fire or whatnot. In my opinion it makes for a better game play loop.

Hello my friends, I'm going to do the same now,

I'm SSG.Sven.S and yes that's my real first name. I play HLL on the PC, I've been with 7Cav for over 2 years now.
something about me, I'm 40 years old, I'm from Germany and I live there too. I was a tank gunner in the army and also on foreign missions in Kosovo. I was also promoted to squad leader and was responsible for 4 tanks. Here at 7 Cav I've been an SL for over 1.5 years and for a few months I've been school lead in the S7 department and responsible for the SOI school. I've already played games with most of you and maybe I've earned some respect as a leader, colleague and friend.

Best wishes from The German Guy ;)

Hello all!

I'm Ahreth.J, real name Fox.R. I've had the name Ahreth since 2003 when I created the name as my first Star Wars Galaxies character. I've used it in everything since. If you ever ran across the name in FPS games, it was most likely me. I have been playing FPS game since Wolfenstein 3D. I have played on 7Cav servers off and on my entire gaming career, starting with Call of Duty. All my previous clans have been more tactical realism focused, all of them but my last are now defunct. I am a southern man stuck in the Michigan, 40 years old, work from home and have 2 kids, 10yo boy, 5yo girl. I've never been in the military, but through all my life starting around 3rd grade I have always found myself drawn to WWII history, especially from personal accounts from the grunts all the way up to leadership.

As a gamer, I generally play with a cool head and really enjoy the teamwork HLL & 7Cav provide. When left to my own devices, I will generally try to think outside the box, aka hold my beer strategies. I will generally be the first to take up what support roll is needed for the squad. I also think HLL Medics are far often neglected roll. It is my favorite support class.

One of my favorite quotes and sums up my gaming philosophy. Seabees had to think out of the box so much to accomplish what was needed of them.

"The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes -- eh -- a little bit longer."
― U.S. Navy Seabees Construction Battalions WWII

Hello,

I got nothing, am nothing. Only special things I've done were back in HS around 12 years ago. Otherwise, never done anything cool or special. I work a basic delivery job, and waste my time on the internet.

Hey Yall,

My name is Mike. I go by Caldylock in-game. I am 33, married with 2 kids. I just recently joined this game and group. I love the game completely and have tried others like it but this one is mine. I was in the infantry (2-3 inf) for 4 years out of Ft. Lewis, WA. I have been playing games since I was around 8 with a love for shooting games. I have recently been looking for harder more complex games and this one checks all the boxes. Now I am looking for a solid group to play with consistently.

I love playing officer but will play any role needed to complete the mission and take the objective. Playing for the win, not MVP.

First To Fight!

Looks like I might be a bit late to the intros but just discovered this group. My name is Gary, I go by Bravo4 in game. Only have about 100hrs in HLL but am having fun. Seen a couple 7th Cav players in servers and was asking about the clan as I was in 2/7 Cav back in the 80's. Just put in my application to join so looking forward to have a bit of fun with everyone.
