Situation:
We have confirmed the presence of a significant militant force along the Syrian Coast. With a significant presence in the fortified port facility in the town of Tartus. Intel suggests that this town is currently being used as both an explosive production hub and also as a maritime staging ground.
Additionally, we recently confirmed two freighters loaded with what we suspect to be explosives, departing from the port. And having tracked them for the past 4 hours, we believe they are en route to the heavily trafficked shipping lane where CSG-11 is conducting flight operations, and are likely under the escort of a number of cruisers and missile boats that the militants have struggled to keep operational.
Pilots must locate and destroy these vessels before they reach the shipping lane, blending in with the traffic in the region.
Expect escalating resistance in the form of air defense systems, fast attack crafts, and hostile fighter support.
Once the maritime threat is neutralized, follow-on strikes will dismantle the port's explosive production and supply network, in order to impair their ability to project further attacks.
Failure to stop the freighters in time may result in catastrophic consequences for naval forces in the area.
