Scenario
Insurgent forces have seized control of the ancient city of Palmyra and its surrounding military infrastructure.
Using the historic citadel as a command center, rebel leadership has established a stronghold from which they terrorize the local population and disrupt regional stability.
Intelligence reports indicate significant concentrations of personnel, ammunition, and captured military equipment within the Palmyra Air Base complex,
the citadel overlooking the city, and supporting logistics depots throughout the area. Additional rebel elements have occupied Tiyas Air Base (T4) to the west,
where they operate a small fleet of helicopters captured from Syrian government forces.
Coalition command has authorized a large-scale airborne assault to retake Palmyra and eliminate insurgent control of central Syria.
