Situation:
Carrier Strike Group 9 (CSG-9) is currently operating offshore but has been cut off from critical resupply convoys. Which has prompted Enemy forces to deployed Russian anti-ship drone/missile launch trucks along the coastline to create a denial zone, preventing logistics ships from safely reaching the carrier group.
These mobile coastal defense units are the backbone of the enemy's anti-access strategy. As long as they remain operational, any supply vessels approaching the strike group risk immediate engagement.
Complicating the situation, Chinese naval forces have moved into the area as a show of force. Two modern Chinese destroyers are patrolling just outside the harbor entrance, accompanied by several small fast attack boats operating closer to the shoreline. Intelligence indicates the destroyers are present primarily as a political signal and will not engage unless directly fired upon. However, the smaller craft are expected to actively defend the harbor approaches.
In addition, multiple surface-to-air missile (SAM) sites protecting the coastal missile batteries normally make air operations extremely hazardous. Fortunately, allied electronic attack aircraft are currently jamming the radar networks, creating a temporary degradation window in the enemy air defense coverage.
