Training Gone Wrong

Operation Beam Strike II

Tasking: Air-to-Ground – Short-Range Deployments
Theater: Caucasus

In the previous operation, Mole Rat, our flights employed JSOWs to engage SAM Search and Track Radars from outside of their engagement radius.

In Operation Beam Strike, the fight is changing. This time, we will be closing the distance with our targets.
Rather than solely relying on per-coordinated objectives, flights will leverage laser-guided munitions
to deliver precision strikes on key enemy assets as they are identified within the Area of Operation.

This task will demand a high degree of flexibility and coordination, as pilots must remain prepared to change both pre-briefed targets
in addition to emerging targets of opportunity.

Fixed-Wing Tasking

You will first utilize your Targeting sensors to locate potential threats.
After which you will employ laser guided munitions (GBUs) to engage and destroy said threats.

Loadout Guidelines:

  • F/A-18C – GBU-16
  • F-16C – GBU-16
  • F-14B – GBU-16
  • A-10C – GBU-16

Rotary-Wing Tasking

In support of the Fixed Wing Tasking, Rotary pilots will also be tasked with engaging and destroying similar targets within the AO,
But may also be tasked to coordinate with Fixed Wing, by lasing targets of opportunity.
