Pros:
  • Low amount of causalities, good because you guys weren't getting shoot (not saying this a bad thing or a good thing)
  • Had CLS on 63.0

Cons:
  • low amount of causalities, bad because medical doesn't get to do there thing then (not saying this a bad thing or a good thing)
  • the way medical was run was hard since Bravo and Charlie FTX overlapped so we had to run to Charlie's before the end of Bravo's and switch groups, missed Charlie brief because was in bravo FTX still
  • Might have wanted to run Medics as a Helios unit instead so we would could cover the company and split between platoons as needed, instead of the specific platoon medics

Sustains:
  • Fun, chaotic op
  • FTLs did a good job, worked well together and were able to cover a lot of ground
  • Good coverage from 4 holding down our right flank
  • Solid bounding with 4 and then 2 on exfil
  • Overall good opord
  • Cool to see formations of helicopters flying around base during brief
  • Full helicopter formation
  • Server stability was surprisingly good
Improves:
  • Lack of planning on staging and Buffalo flights
  • Troopers felt congested and like they always had friendlies crossing their muzzles
  • Lack of communication on positions of squads and crossing lanes
  • Slow getting off the X after completing objective
  • Once the platoon did leave the objective 3 got left behind to bound off on our own
  • Most C Co squads have SP on Sunday, none on Saturday, which I feel helped lead to poor numbers

SPC.Madlock.B

Pros
  • Raider and chaos communication felt like it was working at the highest level of skill it ever has.
  • The communication between raider pic and co-pilot/gunner was on point.
  • Raider was able to make quick and easy movements to BP's and new positions with in a matter of a minute while communicating in where to go and stable hover to conduct fire missions.
  • Chaos handled situations perfectly with calling out contacts for CAS missions and following what information Raider was giving for troops on the ground.

Cons
  • No cons what so ever.

Notes
  • Raider one was able to stay in the air nearly the entire operation between bravo and charlie company's ftx even taking damage to the main rotor 2 separate times and staying on station despite the damage for atleast an additional 5 minutes before returning to base for repairs and rearming to then head back into the fight to conduct CAS missions and ISR tasking coming from chaos.

Thundacat (dont know cav name, if one)

Pros:
  • Bandit-2 didn't have any casualties minus one attached elements black tag, sorry Flint.
  • Movements between the squads was solid especially after PL Purple
  • Both squadmates had a good time with solid comms and movement in the squad, as much as you can have with three

Cons:
  • Platoon comms could've been used more for movements. Though the lacking numbers hurt this effort
  • Squad bounced between 1-3 members throughout the FTX. Was really rough trying to keep our movements on parity with other squads while clearing a few buildings with contacts inside

Sustains:
  • Bandit 4 fluidity in tasked objectives.
  • Good attendance from the squad 6/8
  • Locked down directed flanks effectively.
  • Everyone had a fun time.
  • Good Squad Bounding with Bandit 3.
  • Great flying and coordination from Buffalo's!
  • 0 Causalities!
Improves:
  • Lack of planning on staging/boarding in the beginning of operation.
  • Lack of proper planning for boarding caused Bandit 4 to be dropped broken in 3 different groups. In turn took time to reorganize instead of direct the squad into the fight right away.
  • Slow dusting off from PZ. We seemed to be sitting there for minutes before taking off.

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Corporal Mackey.A
Specialist Kron.D

Private Doodeck.C

Pros:
  • GTLs helped maintain good situational awareness while the gun positions were split by constantly reporting over the squad radio
  • Gun teams remained aware of their ammunition remaining and regularly reported their current ammo count to the SL
  • Employment of MG teams on the road and alley between the squad assault lanes enabled the rapid advance of the assaulting squads
  • Good planning helped give me a framework to go off of when events did not go exactly as originally planned
Cons:
  • Lost communication with Misfit-6 at one point, not knowing he had been KIA
    • After not getting a response from 6, I should have called 5 to advise him that 6 was unresponsive on the radio
  • The egress off the objective could have been more methodical, my squad was left alone without anyone to cover our movement at one point
    • My suggestion would have been to bound off the objective by bounding the platoons one at a time to each phase line in succession, and each platoon bound there squads one at a time.
    • Squads should be made to understand they need to cover each other during these types of platoon movements

Pros:
  • Fantastic operation all around!
  • The coms were beautiful between everyone.
  • From the birds-eye view, the troops moved well, and coordination between everyone was stellar.
  • The pilots today were OUTSTANDING, hands down one of the best operations we were able to witness.

Cons:
  • For some reason, the radio range was not working correctly, so we had to improvise.
  • At the exfil of Charlie Company, the aircraft were on deck for way longer than needed.

Pros:
  • Communication at the buddy, fire team, and squad levels.
  • Coordination amongst Hitman-5 (acting 6), adjacent, and supporting units.
Cons:
  • Lack of 2IC's
  • Operational tempo competing with tactical execution (bounding)

Pros:
  • Great mission planning. Joint concept with Bravo was legit
  • Great plan overall
  • Troopers had fun
Cons:
  • Demo wouldn't blow the walls on this map so that was a bummer for 3's lane
  • Stood on the X too long at objective with helios black tag. Need to make quicker decisions
  • We ended up on the same bird as Bandit which was not the plan

Pros:
  • A well-designed and competently executed op from start to finish.
  • Great passenger discipline, resulting in minimum pilot distraction and perfect mounts and dismounts.
  • Comms with Godfather (Beiter.A), and comms in general, were on point.
  • Zeus support was provided promptly when required.

Cons:
  • Radio range issues caused Buffalo elements to lose contact with each other on several occasions.
  • More advanced formation maneuvers, such as synchronised landings, still need more work.

Element Callsign: Chaos-1
Element Leader: CPL.Mobius.T
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Pros:
  • High level of discipline and swift responses from both Raider-1 and Sparrow-1
  • Fantastic performance from Raider-1. Many fire missions were requested within 200m. Raider-1 accurately identified multiple armored threats, and destroyed the targets rapidly before infantry forces were engaged upon.
  • No Air to Ground Blue-on-Blue Recorded.
  • Multiple instances of Sparrow-1 successfully conducting sensor defensive taskings, reporting inbound QRF from both East and North of the Primary OBJ. During the Safety of Flight, OPFOR's heavy reliance on Bridges and MSR was discussed of. It was outstanding to see the coordination between delivering information and conducting the tasking - leading to successful interdiction of the threats.

Cons:
  • Radio Issues again present during the second half of the operation. This caused the repositioning past purple line of infantry elements delayed.
Also similar issue happened when the unexpected 4th buffalo came down to land, reports went up to FREQ 59, but no communications were being made and no answers came down.
  • Rendering distance bottlenecked Raider-1 from being able to accurately identify targets.

Pros:
  • Lots of good work for us
  • Lots of doorkicking
  • Appreciated being tied into operational planning and not just a "yeah if we find stuff to blow up we'll let you do that"
Cons:
  • Were told areas were clear, they were not. This resulted in KIAs and could have resulted in mission fails if not for last surviving member being saved
  • Blue on blue despite wearing bright "don't shoot me" lights

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • Well designed op.
  • Squads stuck to the plan and executed well.
  • Phase 3 and Phase 4 felt particularly smooth.
  • Good coordination with Helios.
  • Good comms with company. Good comms with squads.

Cons:
  • Couldve used more communication within the platoon when crossing phase line.
  • Op tempo felt a little rushed ~1.5hrs total.
  • Need to work on CoC without a 5 and passing to SLs the company net. Not something we practice often but should.
  • Need to work on inter-squad comms from SLs. Good comms with 6, would like to hear them talking to each other more.
  • Disconnect from B6 at the pull back phase led to miscoordination and also buffalo flight sitting on the deck for too long.

Pros:
  • Solid platoon comms even with the last second emergency leadership changes
  • Great communication on 59 and 55
  • Good coordination with Helios

Cons:
  • My PSG had to lead a squad last minute
  • Shot in the head upon exiting the aircraft so I missed the first 20 minutes of the OP
  • Failed to get my 2ic and 3ic on channel 59
