Sustains:
  • Couple squad members happy to see Vanilla equipment/teams, believe it had a positive impact on server POP.
  • Fun time using the portable mortar.
  • Great teamwork amongst entire OPFOR team.
  • Inter-squad communication was good.
  • Objective/plan was clear and concise.
  • Enjoyed playing on the new map.

Improves:
  • Missed out on a couple recruitment opportunity's (Players left before we could finish chatting with them)
  • Open up the map more, more then 1 primary objective.

Sustains:

1. Fantastic turnout, multiple new public members were able to join in and enjoy the server.
2. Great time, no major cons or issues with game performance.
3. Excellent cohesion and teamwork.
Improves:
1.
Now that a lot of people were joining we may want to look into opening up the map more so that the players are able to move around.

Sustains:

1. Good time, enjoyed the operation as a whole and the whole concept of the main mission.
2. Liked how there was a primary mission but each side had secondary missions as well, allowed for every element to get their own piece of action and effort for the whole team.
3. Recon successfully completed our main mission of disruption, enjoyed the risk of running into the 3rd team of AIs, instead of just it being BLUFOR and OPFOR based.
Improves:
1.
Ran a little long in my opinion but was very fun to play so wasn't necessarily bad but just something to look at for future operations in term of time.

Element Callsign: Viper-5
Element Leader: Master Sergeant Willson.JA

Pros:

  • The Viper platoon was swift and effective throughout the entire operation.
  • Got a lot of use out of the mortars, both stationary and portable.
  • Comms were good throughout the platoon.
  • The server population had grown to almost its maximum by the time the operation had concluded.
  • Seemed as though everyone had a pretty good time.

Cons:

  • Having only one set objective with the mode we were playing seemed odd due to how the game mode works, but it worked out.

Element Callsign: Gunslinger-6
Element Leader: Specialist Utters.M

Pros:

  • good comms from blu-4 side
  • high level of coordination from both logistical and assault elements
  • large amount of public turnout
  • great execution of plan of attack and focusing the OBJ's marked by myself
  • despite not "winning" the actual event proper, i had a sense of accomplishment that our team performed well and maintained a coordinated cohesive structure in the face of an unpredictable adversary and had a lot of fun as 6 which is usually a very taxing and sometimes stressful role for me
  • despite public players not understanding our goals i thought the designated objective was interesting and enjoyable, very fun.

Cons:

  • only con would be that some public players were very confused with the game mode of the event, sometimes to the point of verbal frustration with my leadership.
my first idea of a possible solution would be to try running the actual gamemode of HQ conflict while either rolling the map until the blu-4 and op-4 MOBs are away from "northern crossroads" and "kemensk" and designating those as off limits, this would ensure the game does not end during the operation while allowing both teams a large playable area.
another would be to just play the gamemode as is and encourage (maybe with extra op credit or other small award depending how long the actual game lasts or simple self fulfillment), but not force, both sides to continue playing the entire session, promoting seeding, and doing a short hotwash in game for those that wish to leave after 2 hours and then having a leadership debrief in discord with the two commanders and any SLs that wish to stop playing or cannot continue due to IRL responsibilities with a secondary debrief and more formal AAR planned for any members that continued playing or joined in progress and played until game end.

Pros:

  • Viper-1 helped clear a path to, and seize the objective well before BLUFOR arrived.
  • Viper-1 squad kept cool throughout the operation and kept a presence on the objective the entire operation.
  • Viper-1 as a squad consistently shot, moved, and communicated well throughout the entirety of the operation.

Cons:

  • Friendly Mortars were unable to hit requested targets, requesting soft training on mortars to combat this.
  • Requested some logistics to the point to set up some force multipliers that never made it. Would have been very helpful to win the firefights but we made do.
