Pros - Cool map and fun change of pace.
Cons - Aforementioned communication (or lack there of) from B-FTL and lack of both FTLs keeping their squads together. Would have liked more specifications from 5/6 on radio changes prior to op start as I believe radio changes played a large part in this.

Actions:
  • Set up Support By Fire position over Radio Tower/Supply Depot
  • Maneuvered to assault Mortar Pit with Gunslinger-2
  • Captured Supply Depot via AP ECHO

Pros:
  • Good turnout tonight.
  • Great PL leadership.
  • The intention behind the Operation planning/Operation idea was good.
  • 10/10 Comedy-Would watch Corporal Easy.G chase my sliding body down the side of a mountain after being shot again.

Cons:
  • Communication needed work inner squad leadership/outer squad/platoon level.
  • The OP seemed like "GM's were doing to much/meant well but didn't go well" a few guys did not have fun, I think we missed the mark on the PvP fun experience this one.
  • Some troopers preferred the Attack/Defend Midweek Mayhems instead.
  • Planning phase seemed rushed/cluttered with "Dress Up" time or "I would rather play gunsmith simulator"
  • Bring back Midweek Mayhem EVERY week again!
  • The AO was a miss for some troopers. Really small, lacked maneuverability.
  • It would have been more beneficial to have seen more direct initiative in fireteam leadership.
  • Quite a few inner squad random disconnects throughout the last 30 minutes. (SL,2IC,Etc)

Actions:
  • Captured Radio Tower
  • Captured Mortar Pit
  • Captured Supply Convoy
  • Captured Supply Depot
Pros:
  • Great turnout and lots of action and fun
  • Great communication between Buffalo/Sparrow and myself
  • CAS runs were very good and walk in's seemed to be on point
  • Hillside insert's were truly something out of a movie it seemed
  • myself and Gunslinger-6 were the essential "battle buddy" and holding angles
  • during briefing explained changing of nets when compromised
Cons:
  • Discipline needed tightening up just a bit at times
  • Communication up to platoon from SL's at time were lacking
  • Would come across either a single trooper or 2 troopers not knowing what was happening
  • more policing needed by other troopers "see something, say something" even if its a kit issue
  • viper was intermingled at times with the plt causing a few blue on blue instances
  • Radios, opfor wouldn't understand US and vice versa

Pros
  • Viper element had an enjoyable time performing OPFOR during the event.
  • Great communication and cohesion within the unit making us extremely effective utilizing squad tactics to fight a much larger enemy force with standard fireteam loadouts.
  • Even with constant radio changes we were able to effectively communicate and coordinate to regroup and readjust depending on the situation and mission requirements.
  • MSG.Westcott.R and I learned we can apparently shoot out the handbrake while disabling a supply vehicle with small arms.

Cons
  • Desync causing a vehicle crash almost immediately at mission start causing lower extremity injuries to two our fireteam members slowing our response as QRF.
  • Unconscious individuals should not be able to speak.
  • Not utilizing the enemy radios to listen should be common practice.
  • The primary cause of BLUFOR casualties was units being caught out of position or not performing proper security. Noise discipline would alert us far before we had visual of individual soldiers or displaced fireteams allowing us to maneuver around them unnoticed and operate with impunity even with our ingress point being directly through the middle their lines.
  • It should be remembered this is an official public event and we should do our best to maintain discipline. Light ribbing is one thing but resorting to blatant name calling using obscenities directed at other players out of frustration is not acceptable.
