Element Callsign: Banshee-2
Element Leader: Pvt. Cormac.M

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Private First Class Garrick.S

Pros:

  • Inter-Element Coordination: Seamless communication between Banshee-1 and Banshee-2 ensured synchronized movement and rapid response across sectors.
  • Tactical Diversity: Multiple Bradley maneuver doctrines were executed, including bounding overwatch and adaptive defensive posturing, showcasing flexibility and technical proficiency.
  • Infantry Integration: Operating in direct support of infantry elements enhanced realism and cohesion. The joint maneuvering added depth to the engagement and strengthened combined arms effectiveness.
  • Operational Excellence: Mission planning and execution were top-tier. The scenario was immersive, well-paced, and tactically sound. I laughed loudly when I read the page on the HVT and his grey suit.
  • Ambush Execution: The convoy ambush was executed with precision. Bradley elements neutralized the enemy UAZ as planned — vehicle disabled, all occupants eliminated.
  • Crew Synergy: Banshee-2 operated with high efficiency and morale, maintaining tight coordination with Banshee-1 throughout the engagement.
Cons / Recommendations:
  • Limited Enemy Armor Presence: Increased enemy armor assets would enhance tactical depth and provide more opportunities for armor identification, engagement, and threat prioritization.
  • Comms Optimization: Direct access to infantry comms (e.g., shared radio net) would reduce latency and improve situational awareness. Relaying through intermediaries introduced avoidable delays and response.
  • Technical Disruptions: Packet loss and intermittent server lag impacted responsiveness.

Pros:

  • Excellent coordination between infantry squads
  • Great map marking
  • Pioneer-3 fireteams were excellent at movement and clearing our lanes

Cons:

  • I had difficulty setting up my squads Hasty Ambush - I completely forgot the security element.
  • The cross-wise push through the town made it difficult to stay in our assault lanes, but we recovered when we drifted.

COMBAT AFTER ACTION REPORT

Element Callsign: Pioneer-6
Element Leader: Second Lieutenant Corbin.R
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Second Lieutenant Corbin.R

Pros:
  • Completed our mission! However, someone killed the HVT and did not realize or notify their chain.
  • Good coordination with sections.
  • Sounds like the troopers had a good time, although some felt they lacked contact. However, Company Staff put down a Companys worth of enemy contact.
  • Took on a company-sized target with a platoon-sized element and I think we adapted & overcame it well. Took away lots of good point for future operational planning.

Cons:
  • Server experienced some extensive packet loss at times, which caused us to slow down. However, the guys did very well adapting and working through it.
  • Lacked a PSG and RTO, which made life difficult for me and stretched me thin on effectively working with Banshee and Buffalo. I pushed through without assigning someone to the role.

COMBAT AFTER ACTION REPORT

Date of Combat Mission: 05OCT25
Time of Combat Mission (Zulu): 2000z

Element Callsign: Buffalo-1
Element Leader: Private Madlock.B
Platform(s): MH-60
Task(s): ISR, Reinserts

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Private First Class Ross.S
Private Johnson.T

Pros:
  • From the perspective of Buffalo, the operation seemed to run smoothly.
  • I relied heavily on the MH-60's Flight Hud to spot incoming vehicle threats at night. The system works considerably well. Yet, the user's view distance must be set appropriately they'll just see floating diamonds.

Cons:
  • Tasking for Buffalo-1 was almost non-existent.
  • Communication between 6R and Buffalo was splotchy at best. There was a 30 minute window between phase 2 and 3 in which comms were 0. I had to fly in between AOI Diesel, AOI Motorpool, and basically directly over all the Pioneer callsigns in order to receive a response over radio of 6R.
  • The experience level among Buffalo-1 occupants was quite low. Losing our experienced co-pilot at the beginning of the operation meant that an inexperienced co-pilot took the seat. This in turn, meant that I needed to perform radio communications as the pilot.
  • View ranges for my console occupants was surprisingly low (which is not their fault but a fault of the console). This meant that I had to fly considerably low and in a relatively tight orbit for my gunners to even see tracers, much less see incoming contacts.
  • Buffalo-1 completed two, 1 pack flight, reinsertions throughout the entirety of the operation. Unsure if this was due to low contact, good CLS practices, or troops spawning elsewhere. Buffalo flew ISR for about 95% of the operation without any real impact.
