Pros:
  • Great flexibility from the squad, they were where I needed them when I need them.
  • Communication was solid on all levels.
Cons:
  • Our task, being the command post caretaker, was a very tough task with the amount of support we had. The command post was in the middle of an open field with plenty of cover for the opposing side to use. We had issues having enough supplies and when our tank was out we lost the point almost instantly. It was a tank duel mostly.
  • There seemed to be a lot of confusion about the opord rules going into the match which might have caused us to handicap ourselves a little bit

Pros:
  • Good communications, especially from Bravo squad calling out enemy tanks for us to engage
  • The tank crew stepped up last minute to participate and they had a great attitude about the event
Cons:
  • Poor turnout and last minute no-shows
  • Liked the command center concept, but having the objective out in open made it a meat-grinder
  • Asymmetric map structure meant that Allied tankers had to travel much farther to rejoin the fight
  • Allied team needed to place more garrisons on flanks. Ended up spawning from a central point to fight and funneled into enemy fire

Element Callsign: Axis Tank Commander - "Cheap & Easy"
Element Leader: Second Lieutenant Sotelo.R
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Second Lieutenant Sotelo.R
Specialist Spell.G
Private First Class Banfield.H

Pros:
  • Tank crew were absolutely chads: most engagements were over 400m and Banfield was smacking shots with confidence, Spell did amazing traversing the map and getting us into positions to quickly to provide support to friendly infantry, particularly in the command post areas
  • Infantry callouts, target marks, and calls for support were very clear and concise; command comms overall felt very fluid and effective without overcrowding. Specific shoutout to Stripes.P with some clutch enemy armor callouts and marks that directly resulted in my crew acquiring and taking down Sherman-76 targets
  • Gotta hand it to multiple infantry SL's not only working with armor well, but even taking down enemy infantry attempting took us down, calling out Beauchamp.R , Arnold.W , Macpherson.C saving our ass twice.
  • I've been a huge fan of these "secondary objectives" in ops recently, really fun dynamic they add to the overall play of the match.
Cons:
  • The overall gripe I have with the op was the gameplay was hindered by the low numbers mixed with the super open map areas for the secondary objectives; the play devolved(?) into armor duels at the command post objectives, with infantry being decimated once one tank gains superiority over the area.

Element Callsign: Axis Easy Reapers
Element Leader: Specialist Arnold.W
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

First Lieutenant Macpherson.C
Master Sergeant Herber.R
Corporal Ellison.C
Corporal Slagg.J

Corporal Smith.N RET

Pros:
  • Our Reaper squad owned this FTX. Top Scores across the board besides Combat effectiveness which Armor only got 400 more points than us infantry.
  • My squad did exactly what was asked. We flexed to almost every single flank that was being pushed from.
  • Command Comms were clear and concise.
  • Squad Comms did get hectic but when needed it got clear and concise. We we're having lots of fun.
Cons:
  • Low attendance. Would have been more of a blood bath and harder fought with more numbers.
  • The attendance sheet was horrendous. Not knowing who's doing what and kind of throwing it in the air to figure it out at, quite literally, the last minute.

Element Callsign: Allies Recon - West Foy AO
Element Leader: First Sergeant Rasmus.M
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

First Sergeant Rasmus.M (RET)
Private Colbert.L

Pros:
  • Good communication, callouts and markers ;
  • Really like the secondary objectives, it's refreshing and gives leadership a challenge, need to think outside of the vanilla game box ;
  • Axis successfully established themselves in good defense zone of control spots, anihilating Allies chokepoints / lanes of approaches. With such an open map, it's hard to navigate when defense is at the right place ;
  • Good overall marksmanship from Axis.
Cons:
  • Command Hub could be less open fieldy positioned. It ended up being AT guns and Tank driven fights ;
  • Nodes fights were basically only 1 Recon squad each side (from my perspective) ;
  • Allies lacked aggressive flanks and backline garrisons push - too linear ;
  • Not enough people defending hard point ;
  • Personnally wasn't enough patient while maneuvering in enemy back, positioned my OPs too close of the enemy every time. Good to keep Recon OP really far away from action.

Element Callsign: Axis Alpha Squad
Element Leader: Private First Class Stripes.P
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

First Sergeant Mueller.H
Specialist Freeze.T
Private Cross.E

Pros:
  • Great communication both in squad and in command comms;
  • Squad did great, did everything asked and did it very well, so not much for me to do as squad lead (special shout out to with Specialist Freeze.T for his 10 flamethrower kills); and
  • Axis tank support was extremely on point
Cons:
  • More numbers would likely have made things more interesting for everyone;
  • Focus for both teams and commanders seemed to be on command fight, led to some lulls in the fighting around Foy without much for us to do

Element Callsign: Allies Infantry Squad "Fox"
Element Leader: Sergeant Nate Angels
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Specialist Youssef Tawfik
Specialist Johnathan Fenrir
Private John Graves

Pros:
  • Inner squad movement and communication was on point.
  • My squad was able to find flank routes multiple times in the Foy point and helped capture the point multiple times which was a great show of force from my squad.
  • My squad was able to hit them hard at some points during the FTX.
Cons:
  • Resource allocation for the whole FTX was subpar.
  • The equivalent of 1 full squad and 1 extra person to defend the point was a bad call from the start.
  • The people changing their graphics to play the game and have an advantage (even if it's legal), I personally think people shouldn't be doing that and that people should play the game like it is meant to play.
  • The attendance was a major hit. If we were able to have more people, it would've changed the whole game.

Element Callsign: Allies Item Squad
Element Leader: Specialist Shanks Roderick
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Specialist Oliver Davis
Specialist Ryan Doss
Specialist Alfredo Aponte

Pros:

  • Good comms and coordination, especially when setting up nodes.
  • Troopers did great flexing around across the map
Cons:
  • Felt that Allies were undermined logistically by Axis due to the AO being closer to the Axis HQ.
  • Building nodes were challenging with such limited AO and it being out in the open.
  • Allies garrison options were limited throughout the operation.
