Battlefield 6 - A Fresh Take on a Familiar Face
Greeting Troopers,
As the Cav continues to grow and expand, we have set our sights on an upcoming game that is both exciting and refreshing: Battlefield 6.
Almost everyone is familiar with Battlefield, and almost everyone is also aware of the many shortcomings of the previous entry in the series. Battlefield 6, however, is a true return to form for the series and has the classic Battlefield 3/Battlefield 4 feel that so many of us know and love. The game's emphasis on team-focused and tactical gameplay makes it a great fit for the Cav, and if the success of the first beta weekend is anything to go off of, I'm sure many of you would agree as well. The Cav has the opportunity to establish a strong presence in the game from day 1, and our history as a tactical milsim community allows us to stand out from other gaming groups within the Battlefield community.
Battlefield 6 Features:
- Fast paced, action packed PvP combat with a strong reliance on teamwork and combined arms.
- The return of the class system and its specialized roles: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon.
- The classic destruction system returns and it looks better than ever, don't be afraid to level entire houses or blow holes in walls to make entry if need be.
- Multiple game modes for PvP, including Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough, Domination and King of the Hill.
- Customization of classes and loadouts allows troopers to adjust their kits for whatever the mission calls for.
- Vehicles of all types, from gun trucks and transports to tanks, jets and attack helicopters provide troopers with a wide variety of specializations and tactical flexibility.
- Quality of life improvements from previous games, such as the ability to drag squad mates while reviving them, the addition of deployable ladders, and a smoother movement system improve upon the already great foundation that previous entries in the series have laid.
- The Battlefield Portal allows for the creation of custom maps, modes and scenarios and can allow for PvE operations similar to the ones held in Squad or Arma.
We're currently exploring whether this title has enough traction and interest within the Cav to justify further evaluation, possible event nights, and maybe a formal detachment.

This form is to gauge interest in new games that the DEVCOM department is looking at. We will use these results in our research to determine, at a first glance, the potential viability of a game within the Cav based on how current members feel. Thank you for taking the time to help us!

If enough interest is gathered, a starter platoon will be stood up and those interested will be able to transfer to this new AO. Troopers interested in transferring to the starter platoon will need to file a PAF once the platoon is stood up.
The Cav belongs on the battlefield, will you be there alongside us?
