Pros
  • flying
  • shot some ground enemies with minigun on odin-1 location
Cons
  • buffalo-1 didn't really have anything to do, we did 1 resupply mission in 2 hours, we spent most of the op on the pad at the airfield, waiting for supply requests.

  • Great employing the Sparrow in Operation
  • Great working with other assests
Cons
  • Lack of Attendance from Alpha Company really hurt the Operations
  • Difficult to mark and guide into Targets
  • Some Comm's issues
Suggest;

Set a Sparrow to QRF on Air Base to engage Red Air Targets coming over the Air Field.

Pros:
Loki-1 enjoyed the mission

Cons:
No fire missions, in a raid setting as the mission was set up I highly doubt mortars would have really been utilized
Loki had a bit of confusion with how to get fire mission approval
NVGs broke for one trooper after being downed by a headshot
Radio comms issue left Odin isolated for almost an hour

Pros
  • Plenty of work for both SPARROW crews between ISR and CAS calls.
  • SPARROW crews communicated and operated efficiently and effectively with each other and deconfliction was not an issue even in air to air combat involving sudden evasive maneuvers.
  • CHAOS kept crews busy and utilized the assets. At one point ISR was even provided for ODIN while CHAOS relayed for counter battery operations.
  • Multiple enemy aircraft and armor were engaged during the operation and is always enjoyable. Counted three BTR's, numerous armed and unarmed recon vehicles and infantry, and at least four enemy Mi-8 Gunships splashed, with a fifth being bullied to the ground without a shot fired for crossing into controlled airspace over the airfield during an alert scramble.

Cons
  • None to do directly with the operation.
  • A way to adjust radio nets and proximity chat volumes independently would be a huge help when juggling three plus radio nets.

Pros
  • Two-ship SPARROW flight was fun, two rotary birds is always a fun challenge.
  • Birds were effective when we were on the same page, targeting multiple BTR's, techies, and groups of infantry.
  • Escort worked exactly as intended, drawing fire away from RAVEN flight, protecting friendly forces and allowing them to CM to objective.
  • Great mission concept. Little bird Air Assault is always cool and gives everyone high-speed tasking.
Cons
  • Reforger bug on first objective led to MISFIT-6 dying, as I was not able to track and engage the techie that ran him down. I have since learned to respawn after a crash to allow my map to update properly.
  • Still a bit disjointed when it comes to MISFIT and CHAOS. I was not sure how to best employ SPARROW, as I wasn't aware of where MISFIT was located.
  • Definitely need some more time working with pilots. Want to develop a routine, so I have less concerns about fratricide.
  • Reforger is still janky for me, as I get accustomed to all the tools. IR for example, is not useful with for target identification, LZ marking, or any of the usual advantages. It appears it is barely, if at all, visible to aircraft.
  • I wish we had AGM's for the AH-6, or an airframe with a bit more firepower.
