Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Readers!

Dear Readers,

As the year comes to a close and the holiday season approaches, it's a time for reflection—both on the achievements we've celebrated and the sacrifices that have shaped us. In this special edition of the Cavalry Times, we not only commemorate the season of giving, but we also take a moment to honor the incredible individuals who have shaped the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment into the family it is today.

A central highlight of this edition is the awarding of the 7th Cavalry Lifetime Dedication Award to General John T. Chance, in recognition of his 15 years of outstanding service. General Chance's career, marked by leadership, commitment, and an unwavering dedication to our regiment, has left an indelible legacy that will be remembered for generations. From his pivotal roles in key operations to his transformative impact on our regiment's growth, General Chance exemplified what it means to serve with honor. His transition to Regimental Accountant after such remarkable service is a testament to his ongoing commitment to the 7th Cavalry's success.

As we celebrate his extraordinary contributions, we also pause to remember the brave souls we have lost over the years. This holiday season, we honor the memories of Sergeant Brennan Erickson, Corporal Sean Mac, and Private First Class Nick Bornschein—each of whom gave their all to this community. Their service, camaraderie, and friendship were vital to the strength and spirit of the 7th Cavalry. Though they are no longer with us, their legacy endures through the bonds we share and the stories we tell.

This holiday season, as we gather with family and friends, let us remember those who are no longer with us. Their sacrifices and their memories are woven into the very fabric of our regiment. To those who have given so much, we extend our deepest gratitude. May you rest in peace, and may your legacy continue to guide us forward.

To all our members, past and present, thank you for your unwavering dedication and support. As we welcome General Kleinman.H as the new General of the Army, we look forward to the future with hope and unity. Together, we continue to move forward, honoring the past and embracing the future.

Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a prosperous new year ahead.

Respectfully,
SSG Hunter Whaley
