Pros:
  • Troopers enjoyed playing as the OPFOR
  • Overall platoon movement and execution was well done
Cons:
  • Multiple NDs at base (suspected from pubbers, not Cav members)
  • Grenade spam after endex called (suspected from pubbers, not Cav members)
  • Comms were cluttered on 08 due to platoon comms as well as IDF calls crossing over one another. Will adjust this in the future.
  • Loadout issues (no short ranges, lack of medical supplies)

Pros:
  • Fun operation, great idea to use OPFOR again, should be continued
  • Exquisite work from AMBAL-1 mortar team from Firebase London (Hobbs.T Derry.B Whitfield.L), destroying multiple squads of enemy infantry, as well as several enemy armoured and light vehicles, counter-firing an enemy mortar pit and providing illumination for an assaulting infantry team.
  • Extremely danger close fire missions by the AMBAL-1 team with zero friendly casualties.
  • Friendly infantry utilizing mortar firebase to it's fullest, unafraid to call for the above mentioned danger close fire missions.
  • Great reaction to enemy counter-batter fire by AMBAL-1, great call on immediate displacement and relocation to Firebase Cardiff.
  • AMBAL-1 successfully meeting and pushing back resistance from enemy stragglers at Firebase Cardiff with rifle and mortar fire, then being able to safely provide further fire missions to the AO.
  • Not sure what the OPFOR vehicles we used are called, but the HQ one we used had both a machinegun and a 30mm automatic grenade launcher on top, which were a blast to use against enemy infantry.
  • Night vision was blurry while ADS, as it should.
Cons:
  • Convoy took long to establish and broke down immediately.
  • Public players being disruptive at times (addressed in a Hotlist entry)
  • The convoy rammed itself into enemy positions, between two minefields, without waiting literally a few minutes for already ongoing drone recon and preparatory mortar fire. This has led to huge initial casualties, at least one squad combat ineffective. It has halted our advance for a long time and forced us to make an even more risky move deeper into enemy territory to break current contact.
  • The enemy infantry from that encounter were left behind our lines and caused trouble later on for the relocated AMBAL-1.

Pros:
  • A brilliant dynamic amongst squad led to good cohesion and communication among teams.
  • Ammo carriers on point along with loaded vehicles. Despite numerous engagements and suppressing fire, squad was able to rearm and equip.
  • All troopers enjoyed premise of the operation and had fun.
  • Despite no air or tank support 4x ESKI squads pushed through contact and successful took and held airfield.
  • Effective fire support allowed for accurate IDF and illumination rounds for both ESKI-8 and AMBAL-1.
  • Medical from CLS kept our squad fully mobile, able to consolidate and assault at speed.
  • Perfect drone operation allowed for accurate markings which directly resulted in accurate target knowledge and planning accordingly.
  • High public player turnout.
  • Good communication and updates from 5-6.
  • HVT successfully located and neutralised.
  • Refreshing change and Russian operation very much welcomed. Allowed for a side of operating not usually visited.

Cons:
  • Loadouts slightly lacking in mission critical equipment ie; 343 radio, basic medical.
  • Airport assault was slightly gaggled with squads to bunched up. Assault point and lanes could of been placed to speed up capture time.
  • Pushing through contact required when heavy contact taken in dense forrested area allowing for reconsolidation with front towards enemy.
  • Communication with a select few public players which sadly caused a spot of bother for others. Not aware of AAR at mission end led to blu on blu 40mm.
  • Re insert and arsenal issues led to later joiners unaware of what to do.
