Pros:
Squad executed atleast 3 squad attacks as part of the larger scheme of maneuver. Attacks were perfectly executed to eliminate enemy bunker/machine gun positions.
Comms within the squad were fantastic. Comms within the platoon were great with squads coordinating movement and sending sitreps/ spotreps.
Squad only suffered one Black tag during the course of the operation.
Teams stayed within mutual of each other and didn't try to over extend.
Excellent succession of command on display tonight to finish taking a sub objective and then set security/ coordinate care.

Cons:
Scheme of maneuver felt weird sometimes with the long flanks to try to achieve a flank which then left 3 exposed as the Eastern most element to other enemies further east as we cleared north to south.
Sometimes due to the nature of the terrain squads would get jumbled up and cross through each other.
Blue on Blue from some bad bombs? Contact was over after assaulting a series of Machine Gun Bunkers and then we suffered our one black tag from a random explosion with no indication of IDF or calls that Danger Close CAS was being called.

Pros
  • Team leaders were very competent at avoiding casualties when put into dangerous scenarios and enabled their teams to do the following
    • Very nice assault and clears.
    • Good formations and movement techniques
    • Good break contacts
    • Very good tempo led to an exciting operation for all attendees in the squad
  • Great teamwork with the adjacent squads
  • Great mission as always with Zaren and Rodahl working in tandem.
  • Good callouts / spotreps / intel at ALL levels.
  • Good buddy aid and ACE reports, handover to ATLAS.
  • Solid plan by Misfit-6
Cons
  • OPFOR Mortars shot itself in a scorched-earth suicide causing a black tag. RIP Apollo!
  • Spacing too close at times in fixed positions
  • Unfortunate server downtime (no-one's fault, thankfully it didn't take the wind out of our sails! Thank you for continuing!)
Preferential
  • A few troopers noted that during the brief there was lots of probing questions regarding to contact type and amount rather than taking the OPORD at face value.
  • A few of the troopers commented as to wanting to see what it would be like to take AOI 1from the east-west as opposed to the north-south that we ended up employing.

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Specialist Bryan.R

Pros:
  • Great mission and OPORD. We all had fun.
  • Excellent teamwork.
  • Good CSAR of SPARROW-1.
  • Excellent Comms with Misfit-5
  • Appreciate higher command accepting our recommendation to add an armed SPARROW helo for defensive purposes only... not to add/subtract/disrupt the MM pre-planned CAS. This was really necessary due to little bird's inherent airframe weaknesses/vulnerabilities. Just very good practice to have an armed overwatch protective asset for enhanced security.
Cons:
  • Map terrain foliage/vegetation is off.
  • Multiple spawn points made some things somewhat unclear.
  • Unfortunate server crash that had domino effect on OP rhythm. Adjustments had to be made but we managed quite good.

Pros:
  • Excellent microterrain
  • Phenomenal construction of OPFOR fortifications by Zaren.T <3
  • Attachment of SPARROW flight to protect RAVEN
  • Great engagements against enemy vehicles and infantry from RAIDER (Highman.J / Hamm.C) despite limitations of sensor suite
Cons:
  • Either my miscommunication of target or failure to acquire correct grid by LIGHTNING resulting in a Blue on Blue GBU drop - apologies, MISFIT-3 :(
  • Too much of a AAA threat, CAS was unavailable for at least 45 minutes due to SEAD tasking / RTB
  • Radio issues, the "just squawks, no message heard" bug affected LIGHTNING-2 vs me, and then myself vs RAIDER after the server reset
  • Server crash, possibly caused by multispawn / activation of many AAA assets (Vill reported 10+ radar locks from the ground, aside from the enemy aircraft on his tail)
  • Weird "ghost JDAM" where I've visually acquired a JDAM weapon model fall on the north face of the RELAY camp (when it was already being controlled by friendlies) as if dropped by a REDFOR plane, but no planes were present and only combat aircraft we had at the time was RAIDER and the SPARROWs, which cannot drop that munition. The weapon splash was witnessed by others, unknown if it caused casualties.

Pros:
  • Squad had a good time. Lots of action
  • Lot of work to do with medical. Various injuries with some near death saved
  • In team communications good
  • Competent team making my job easier
Cons:
  • Server crashing/disconnects. Team members getting booted out. Also made the OP run long and I had to leave early
  • Blue on blue mass causality incidents
  • Low medical team turnout

Element Callsign: MISFIT-6
Element Leader: First Lieutenant Sam.T

Pros:

  • Excellent work from all infantry squads.
  • Minimal black tags due to excellent medical care.
  • I enjoyed having to amend the plan due to unforeseen obstacles (minefields not pre-briefed).
  • Excellently designed and concealed fortifications from the mission makers! Very tough and enjoyable operation.
  • Excellent leadership turnout.
  • Secured relay and captured many sensitive items (maps, radios, GPS).

Cons:
  • I messed up some movement plans, leading to convoluted movement and further complicating an already complex plan.
  • Multiple blue-on-blue instances led to mass-casualty incidents.
  • Server crash.
  • Several instances of the platoon clumping and then spreading out across large distances. Hard to maintain continuity in spacing, compounded by MASCAS instances.

Pros:
  • Fun, well designed Operation with a lot of subtle details that required tactical decisions to be made
  • Good leadership, great intra-platoon comms
  • Non organic IHW guys had a great time doing different roles (i.e ammo bearer)
Cons:
  • Server issue
  • Could have had better intrasquad comm chatter
  • Regrets not making decision to loan off a MG team to another plt squad
  • Blue on Blue bomb causing black tags
  • Reports of CHAOS giving guys in my squad orders while I was unconscious. I've got a secession plan laid out myself, I don't want people outside my squad giving orders.
