Pros:

  • Lots to shoot at
  • Air to Air was a lot of fun
  • Helocast is always fun, and dropping rockets into a target area before the drop always makes it interesting.
  • Plenty of fires and spicy moments.
  • KA-52 air-to-air kill with a MH-60M MLASS is always fun, because it's not intended for air-to-air.
  • Good comms within aviation/flights.
  • Good CSAR with penetrator (hoist) rescue.
Cons:
  • Miscommunication with fires at the end, resulted in getting shot down, but never died so that's a plus.
  • Swapped to MH-47s and then got told to land at the PZ without exfil.

Myself and my inner thoughts

Pros:
  • Good challenging environment
  • Good amount of contact
  • Almost a full platoon!
Cons:
  • Ambush at the end was foiled due to platoon error.
  • Movement was a bit rough with the terrain
  • Cohesion broke down on the assault.

Pros:

  • Plenty of medical tonight
  • Patient communication and pass-offs were well done
  • The map is pretty cool in my opinion
  • We got to shoot some infantry

Cons:

  • Atlas shouldn't be in the rear we should be between squads so we aren't getting engaged
  • The helocast was a bit messy since the helo was too close to the coast and was stationary which resulted in unnecessary yellow tags.

Pros:
  • Individual Trooper discipline was ON POINT this evening. Orders crisply followed, ACE reports prompt and brief. This group made it really easy to lead!
  • Excellent succession of command! SL black-tagged and Squad continued the push into AOI 1, Fraggo'd to SBF despite B4 not following the plan.
  • During the assault of AOI 1, B1 found the intel, performed first aid on B4's Mass-Cas, cleared the buildings left by B4, and kind of had to wear a lot of hats due to PLT casualties.
Cons:
  • Play your Role: Had a trooper as a GRN that was monitoring 59 and kept wandering from their FT to more FWD Observer positions.
  • Platoon organization was less than ideal tonight, likely due to terrain and contact envelopment.
  • The PLT ambush was .....Trash. If we have the time to plan a hasty ambush we need to stick to the plan. Waiting until the OPFOR are in the killbox is like...step 1-4 of an ambush, followed by TRPs and the kick-off trigger.

Pros:
  • Lots of fun with Helo-cast missions.
  • Map terrain is challenging for everybody and certainly pilots, but that's what makes it fun. Pretty map too.
  • Multiple successful fast rope insertions including 2x on an extremely sloped mountain side. Troopers did excellently.
  • Very challenging and successful CSAR hoist and great talk-on by Thumper.N... that was quite challenging.
  • A2A kill by BUFFALO-2, great shooting by Renard.S, who was manning the right minigun.
Cons:
  • Extremely unfortunate mid air ARMA crash which delayed BUFFALO-2 getting to the initial northern boarding area.
  • My airdrop of the supplies could have been much better but I didn't want the chutes to blow too far down that mountain.
  • I accidentally crashed the fuel truck into another truck at base, resulting in a huge and damaging explosion. Sorry Alpha bros, my bad.
  • Incomplete exfil at endex.
  • Was definitely looking forward to the dam phase of the mission, but now I get that it doesn't work right, so probably best that leadership 86'd that.

Element Callsign: Chaos
Element Leader:
Sergeant Davis.D

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element: N/A

Pros:

  • Great Communication Between Bison 1 & 2 and Myself
  • Attack on targets were solid
  • Worked with Both Bandit-6 & Bandit-5
  • Had a lot of fun with the terrain, the canopies, posing difficult ISR but was accomplished
  • Helocast was great but needs improvement
  • Bison's doing A2A when it's not meant to was massive for keeping our air clear
  • Buddy aid was on point, found myself a few times patching up some wounded while atlas was having their hands full or getting their teeth kicked in
Cons:

  • The tertiary task was a bit sloppy, on my end miscommunication where the bison were supposed positioned
  • Was treated by atlas and told I was green then had cardiac tamponade resulting in me being down for 5-10 mikes
  • Had a trooper on 59 relaying what the pilots were saying and would chime into the pilots
  • Need improvement on 5-lines and not quick blurts of attack
  • A few times mic was muted resulting in some comms issue
  • Issues within the Plt with an SL would try to tell 6 what they were going to do instead of following the plan
  • The pilot had a massive repair time like 600 Seconds

Pros:
  • HELOCAST is fun (y)
  • Map is fun to fly over (y)
  • Improv FRIES on the side of a mountain with trooper hitting the deck and smoking enemy shooting at the bird (shout out to Gillman) (y)
  • Explosions on base always make me giggle (y)
Cons:
  • 80 minutes of firewatch on a flightline. Insert and one reinsert didn't make the OP worth logging in for 10 minutes of flight out of the 90 minutes. (n)
  • Troopers not being remotely professional during the brief. Highly considering only briefing unit and support leaders. Small unit leaders can brief in game to their subordinate members. (n)

Pros:
  • Good buddy aid. Many troopers were bandaged when ATLAS-2 came on scene
  • Good amount of medical work of various types
  • Good teamwork with ATLAS-2
  • Medical net was good
Cons:
  • Delay of ATLAS-2 insertion due to pilot disconnect
  • ATLAS-2 was hit by 40mm grenade fire from rear
  • Lidocaine still not working for simple fractures. Severe pain caused even if applied to affected limb and waiting 30 secs
  • Unauthorized CCP set up right next to pre established CCP 50 meters away in ambush zone. Endangered medical and trooper personnel

Pros:
  • Good use of platoon CCP's.
  • Good buddy/personal aid observed.
  • Decent coms with ATLAS teams, kept me up to date with returns to station.
  • Good use of infantry skills by ATLAS teams.
  • Helocast's are always fun.
  • Mission was fun, atlas kept busy and on their toes.
  • Very nice map, good frames.
Indifferent:
  • Atlas took a mas cas on Break Contact order from a 40mm, still managed to break contact though with no fatalities.
  • I was unable to reposition Atlas-1 to bandit-3's MASCAS during the ambush phase until contacts were dealt with.
Cons:
  • Sparrow.P Bizon-1 helocast was done stationary, the bird should have an airspeed of 5 to 10(?) to prevent people falling on each other, it was also a bit too close to the shoreline as people were hitting the bottom of the river without swimming.
  • The platoon moved off before ATLAS was ready, leaving them and i distanced at one point.
  • I was a little bit quiet/slow on platoon net tonight.
