Pros:
Team had fun
Great to see Logistics back in ops
Great working with pilots to get helos back into the air
CSAR for Sparrow-2

Cons:
Little slow at times
Full repair times were insane, our AUV was barely damaged after driving into a building and had a 1000s repair time

Specialist Kuusela.N

Private First Class Marston.C

Pros:
  • Professional and calm, low contact allowed concise communications
  • Relatively ok convoy operations, could have been better
  • Good mutual support and communication within the squad and between 1st and 2nd Squad
  • Good inclusion with the HMMVWs, well planned inclusion.
  • Good AI placement from mission maker / was working well with the garrisoning
Cons:
  • Fire team members felt confused on intent, more questions / better FRAGOs in future
  • Would have liked to see more contact:
    • I appreciate this was in the OPORD, but a lack of patrols, QRFs or follow-on contact
      • This would have been a good opportunity to utilise the 60mm mortars in 4th for CFF
    • No vehicular contact, would have been nice to have some hard targets or some more thorough obstacles in the defence.
  • Low visibility whilst driving, more spacing in convoy?
  • More team comms on radio from actual needed
  • React to IDF was slow in some instances, first react was really good.
  • No things to blow up in a raid!

Pros
  • Good surgery training for our member new to this role
  • Smooth movement as a whole: There were no extended periods of waiting, as Atlas-1 always had orders and knew what to do
Con
  • Overall below average vibe; there seemed a lack of balance with the severity of the casulties, as we either got near unsafeable patients, or those with only very minor injuries, very little in between.
  • Relatively poor situational awareness due to me crashing several times, forcing me to reorient first after rejoining
  • Missunderstanding over the radio on my end slowed down etablishment of the first CCP

COMBAT AFTER ACTION REPORT

Element Callsign: Bandit-6
Element Leader: First Lieutenant Sam.T

Pros

  • Squad and platoon comms were solid.
  • Information and FRAGOs were quick and effective.
  • Firefights sounded great when they occurred.
  • Suitable employment of 60mm fires on KT.
  • Aviation felt solid and effective in their attacks.
  • The FARP Team was fantastic and sounded well received both by the personnel within the team and the aviation they were supporting.

Cons
  • The contact level didn't align with the Company (-) reported in the SALUTE.
  • Turnout was mid, leading to an un-filled to half-strength weapons squad.
  • There are a few issues with the expected logi team composition, considering how long it's been since its use.
  • Employing the weapons squad felt hit or miss; personal improvement.

Pros
  • ATLAS-1 provided very good SITREPs when requested.
  • ATLAS-1 maneuvered safely and managed to remain close to the infantry and was responsive.
  • Platoon level CCP's utilized correctly on OBJ's post-combat.
  • Successful CSAR preformed by ATLAS-3 of 1 red and 1 yellow Pilot casualty and delivered to BANDIT-7. Both survived and returned to the air.
Indifferent
  • Platoon medic was quite far away from the assault for almost the entirety of this mission but at no expense to tactical awareness mostly due to high elevation of SBF's.
  • Mission was mid, enjoyable but felt more like an FTX or going through the motions.
  • ATLAS-3 requested medical aid directly through LR56 which felt a little strange though they have no real POC in absence of ATLAS-6.
  • 2 Black Casualties Platoon wide, both expectant on arrival.
Cons
  • -5's Driving
  • My Driving
  • Lack of a grid readback noted in AAR
