Pros:
  • Everyone had fun
  • Good comms in the squad
  • Platoon level comms were solid
  • Low amount of casualties outside of Stuka and IDF
Cons:
  • KAT was a bit brutal, lotta time uncon for a lot of guys
  • Chaotic, but expected from no radios
  • Accidentally murdered some friendly paratroopers

Pros:
  • Lack of radios made it tough at times, the delay caused problems but leadership did a good job of shaking out and reorganizing.
  • Cry Havok and let slip the Platoon Guide
  • Enjoyed Tormenting German's / Zeus for once, 2nd PLT guide got behind enemy lines on numerous occasions causing disruption(s)
  • Wescott and Lindsay clearing a building together like Rambo and Chuck Norris was epic fun!
Cons:
  • KAT made it tough at times lots of unconscious, led to more sometimes unnecessary respawns as people grew impatient
  • Chaotic at times due to restricted communication (lack of radios)
  • Accidental Blue on Blue x1

Pros:

  • Lot of Medical work to do over the entire operation.
  • Environment was cool and authentic.
  • Beach landing was amazing.
  • Top notch to S3 for putting this together very well made.
  • Operation was nearly 3 hours long, was a lot of fun.
Cons:
  • Lack of chest seals made it problematic for all infantry and medics ran out very quickly.
  • Unable to get people up due to SpO2 levels, this led to people being uncon for up to 30mins. (Had to wait naturally for it to recover and it was slow)
  • Zeus intervention and immersion killing, teleport poles bringing dead people within 10 seconds of dying back to front line in front of us was lame to see.

Non-7th Cavalry Within Element:
  • N/A

Pros:
  • Time Period
    • Love lack of modern equipment
  • Land Nav
    • Land nav was super fun and challenging
  • Squad Fundamentals
    • Squad movements were great
    • Great communication between fireteams
    • Buddy Aid
  • Set Pieces
    • Love seeing the bigger picture around us
  • Medical Crews
    • Medical teams killed it keeping everyone alive the best they could
  • Beach Assault
    • The base human urge to die on a beach in a foreign country was briefly satiated
Cons:
  • Beach Assault
    • Not long enough!
    • Wish it was harder to get off the beach
  • Uninteresting Angle of Attack
    • Area we were pushing through had very few landmarks and really just consisted of empty fields
  • Medical
    • Very long uncons put people out for a long time and often
  • Tank Support
    • Tanks have radios meant they would often push way before we were told to do so
  • Order Filtering
    • Playing telephone can be fun but it took a very long time to get those order down due to fewer radios than was probably necessary
  • Deadly OPFOR
    • The difficulty was all over the place with the AI being very accurate but there not being many
  • Lone Wolfing (Guides)
    • The guides were used and seen as one-man armies that only occasionally provided useful info
    • Often clearing/assaulting positions themselves
    • Only one instance of a guide being told to move forward, all others were of their own volition
    • Hurts immersion, morale, and is unfun to everyone else
    • Squad had scouts but were not utilized
      • I do take some responsibility for not being more proactive to get them forward
