Element Callsign: Viking-6
Element Leader: Corporal Rodahl.S

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

(Sierra-6 Gunner) Corporal Bethea.A
(Sierra-6 Driver) Staff Sergeant Westcott.R

Pros:
  • Warning Order was great, came out well in advance, and allowed me to prepare for most circumstances.
  • We had great comms on Platoon net.
  • Destroyed a disgusting amount of enemy contact. Fantastic crew.
  • High frames consistently throughout the OP, apart from when Friendly assets were mobilized in the end.
  • We had great, collapsible positions over the operation, making both falling back and pushing out easy tasking due to strong SLs.
  • Endex was called at prescribed time.
Cons:
  • Slow "infil", Misunderstanding by me where I thought we had time to get to the LOA. V1 got caught on route and was in a quagmire.
  • Dipped a little too much into S6 action, although due to a slightly low turnout, it was not at a detriment. Will take for personal improvement.
  • "Low numbers". We had two squads with full crew for all Strykers. Even though I would love more people to join these OPs, I believe that with a great mission maker and an available plan we can make it work.
  • Blue on Blue incident, rectified and cleared.

Pros:
  • Good communication and teamwork with Atlas teams.
  • Decent amount of medical, felt like an even amount of work was distributed.
  • Atlas was able to join in the contact at some points at POI king so they had fun.
Cons:
  • Raider almost killed Atlas-2 with overshot while dogfighting.
  • Buddy aid was poor, and patients are walking away before being cleared by Atlas.
  • Had an Atlas member moving around on his own without a buddy.
  • Step off time was delayed which resulted in contacts pushing through to POI King.

Pros:
  • Solid movement
  • Good Communication.
  • Inter-squad comms were also exceptional.
  • I liked the aggression in counter-attacking.
Cons
  • A little bit stuck in the mud occasionally.
  • Positions were condensed
  • Stryker mobility under-utilized
  • Assault over open field instead of through key terrain was ill advised.
  • Blue on Blue from Viking-6

Corporal Blake.H

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Sergeant Holiday.T

Private First Class Bryan.R

Pros:
  • Very good security pulled by team members.
  • Got into a lot of combat due to scope of operation/restrictive positioning and won the firefight.
  • Received mutual support when requested.
  • Excellent execution of break contact by team members.
  • Good amount of casualties.
  • Decent teamwork and coms.
  • Enjoyed the mission.
  • Rescued and resuscitated Viking-5 and his vehicle crew after being hit by a presumed ATGM while dismounted and were very close to black tag.
Cons:
  • Slow start due to issues with ACE not being updated for some.
  • Atlas was not informed Red casualties had been downgraded to yellow casualties in some cases.
  • Severely injured casualty walking off during transit to CCP whom then ended up going red later down the line.
  • Self CSAR for Raider Pilots, no dispatch.
  • Lack of buddy aid in some cases.

Element Callsign: Viking-2

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Non-7th Cavalry Within Element:
  • Rufy
  • Dr. Wierd

Pros:
  • Defensive Operation
    • Not Common
      • Needs to be more common!
    • Great Position Retakes
  • In-Squad Tactics
    • Great Formations
    • Great Communication
    • Great React-To-IDF Drills
    • Good/Fast Position Building
  • Vehicle Cohesion
    • Solid/Clear VIC NET Communication
    • My Pit Crew Viking-5 on top of repair requests

Cons:
  • Movement
    • Moving almost the entire OP can be draining
    • Better (platoon) lateral movements to facilitate better defensive posture
  • Spacing
    • Knowing the enemy has overwhelming IDF this was a priority
  • Sierra
    • Sierra was out of the fight almost constantly due to overwhelming OPFOR AT/Aircraft capabilites
    • Repair Times
      • In total, for only our Sierra, a repair bar had to be stared at for approx ~30 minutes
    • No Painkillers in base crew kits

Non 7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:

  • Good communication and coordination within the team.
  • Medical tonight was alright, minor injuries hoped for more red tags.
  • Atlas got to do infantry stuff and kill enemies/take up positions had a blast.
  • No black tags tonight for Atlas-2 always a pro.
  • Good mission design, use of infantry tactics is preferred and great to see (more realism from AI.)
  • Raider dogfights were nice to see always nice to see Apaches.
Cons:
  • Raider almost killed Atlas-2 with overshot while dogfighting. Rounds landed on top of us no damage, but could be avoided/wait till helicopter is past friendlies.
  • Individual trooper in team not listening to orders/wandering off constantly very annoying.
  • Individual trooper care needs to be improved.
  • Non cav player said they experienced cardiac problems unable to shock/had troubles getting a pulse. (believe this was PEA not a bug)
  • Overall Platoon lacked infantry strength led to multiple flanks being exposed, small fire team reached POI King while rest of platoon was at Phase Line 2.
  • Step off time was slow led to first phase line being lost.
