Specialist Albright.J

Pro:
Quick react to contact by Atlas
Seeing the AC-130 was very cool
Quite a few surigcal.

Con:
First Platoon move off was shaky at best 90% of the platoon was clumped in 100-200 grid square where as misfit 1 was around 300m forward of the platoon with any mutal support.
Some break in Comms with 7 either due to lack of experiance or maybe acre issues
For a one life Op medical was very low TL used 3 500ml bags of fluid
Possible ACRE issues I once again suggest we look into using TFR for our ingame comms

Just a personal note but I feel like each Operation we should be able to inset from some sort of base either via ground vics or some air inset where it be static or helo insert

Pro:
Good fun with the AC-130
Good response times to CFF
Highman knocking it out of the park as CP

Con:

Bugs:
We had the weapon flash effect on for the entire time, lighting us up. No idea why this was.
Firing the 40mm gun resets the ranging solution for the 20mm, for some reason.

Pros
:
  • AMAZING work by S3 to get the AC-130 back up and working and to resolve whatever Bugs were present.
  • AC-130 crew performed amazingly considering it is not a regularily utilised mod pack or asset and its a completely different type of CAS. They received only 1 Training session on the material from myself a week ago and thats it.
  • Drone utilisation was on POINT - constant updates and extremely usefull.
  • Great to see the use of Mortars throughout on both sides and realistic application of tactics.
  • SFX/Environmentals were realistic and immersive with high pressure due to One Life.

Cons:
  • Flares at one point went up, kills already diffiicult NVG.
  • AC-130 crew small error not abiding by Deconfliction measures set at one point.

EXTRA:
Geki.T another AMAZING Op! Really good, immersiive and realistic! Great work as per. Please take your skills to attempt to make a Delay Action operation Two Life To Live at some point, ill happily contribute towards this on the tactics/scenario building side if you wish.

Element Leader: Second Lieutenant Sam.T

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Major Burton.P
Corporal Crowley.T

Pro:
  • Medical was distributed through the team very well despite the low net amount.
  • A really good amount of reductions; everyone in the team got to conduct at least one.
  • We had a good reaction to contact drill and an excellent break-contact drill. Always a good thing to practice for Atlas.
  • No black tags under care.
  • Having someone assist the surgeon with vitals was a very nice change of pace.
  • The AC-130 was a super cool set piece. The sound design on that was amazing!
Con:
  • The overall level of casualties was low, especially for a one-life OP of this length. I think this came down to the effectiveness of our support fires and overall planning on the OP.
  • The platoon marching order that was received was not followed. In addition, there was a ton of "clumping up" and overlapping squads. Could have ended poorly, but didn't.
  • Our security at halts was rough. In the future, we need to improve this, especially in low-visibility and low-sight line environments.

Pro:
Good concept of fires.
Made good use of IDF targeted by drones.
Details of counter-battery fire and relocation of mortars between fire missions were very immersive.

Con:
Low visibility prevented direct support of infantry due to short range of engagements.
Poor choice of munitions against armored SPGs. 81mm HE does not do the job, especially against dug in SPGs.

Pros:
  • Some troopers had fun
  • The assault on Cock Fights
  • Lots of laughs with the boys.
  • Great job from FTLs

Cons:
  • Seeing anything with NVGs was a challenge.
  • Expected more contact with patrols
  • Rubber banding
  • Low FPS
  • AC130 killed everything
  • Some troopers didn't have fun.
  • Plan flexed too much.

Pro:
  • Fun night time operation
  • Very immersive
  • Great use of IDF & AC-130
  • Injured were rallying on CCP

Con:
  • Marching out was a bit unorganized
  • Plt would carry on leaving Atlas vulnerable while treating casualties/surgeries
  • Atlas was used more as Infantry than support element
  • Communication between 7 and Atlas teams weren't the best

Element Callsign: MISFIT 6
Element Leader:

Pro:
Mission achieved a total victory, with the commanders convoy completely destroyed, 2 objectives completely cleared and almost total destruction of OPFOR on the ground.
Platoon took no black tags during the course of a one life operation.
Timely fires from both HAVOC and Ghost with solid fires plans and coordination from Priest.V and Turn.J
PLT remained flexible to a changing plan and decision to go on the offensive when it was realized the convoy was attempting to move in another direction.
Fantastic ISR updates from PLT level drone operator Lucander.P

Cons:
Messy platoon movements was on me, attempting to maintain movement and complete an ambush and 2 raids before we lost our air support.
Should have come up with more COA's because what we wound up doing on the ground was FRAGO'd almost entirely.

Pros
:
  • AC130 in action.
  • The firefights we were part of had a good amount of talking guns
Cons:
  • Very long stretches of walk with no opportunity to practice battle drills.
  • Ambiance made for significant difficulties PIDing.
  • Discipline fell apart towards the end.
  • Exfil was not consistent (walk to vics for evac = cool, then tping us = not as cool). And took too long.
