Element Callsign: Axis Item squad

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Corporal Cobblestone.G
Specialist Landry.G
Specialist Litvin.D

Pros:
  • Excellent rotation of role/task to ensure proper and effective defense setup through task organization
  • all personnel readily stepped up to fill gaps where needed
  • Extremely flexible in change of task, moved with a purpose to engage the enemy
Cons:
  • As acting SL did not have ready access to command comms for timely situational awareness.
  • Maybe should have been flexed to front lines a little sooner to help effect a point capture.

Communication Within Squad
Small squad still kicked butt and held our weight

Cons

Element Callsign: How
Element Leader: Corporal Mueller.H
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Corporal Hayden.A (Start to end)
Private First Class Moreau.M (sent to the front at 1:10:00 IGT and came back at around 52:00 IGT)
Private First Class Callum.C (sent to the front at 1:10:00 IGT and came back at around 52:00 IGT)
Corporal Flanagan.L (joined my squad at 26:00 IGT)
Specialist Landry.G (joined my squad at around 10:00 IGT)
Maybe 2 more

Pros:
  • Excellent communication within the group. Enemies were called out correctly. No enemy squad had the opportunity to wipe out our squad because you could always rely on the person next to you.
  • Change between squads ran smoothly
  • Positive K/D - had a lot of fun
Cons:
  • Communication via Discord in Cav style keeps the command chat free, but it's not really good. When I saw the Sherman behind the Tiger and communicated this to the SL, it was not called until the Tiger was destroyed. This makes no difference in this case, because between sighting and first shot was only 2 seconds and until the destruction only about 10 seconds, but still a direct communication would be faster.
  • Strategic Con: We probably defended for too long.
Remark: Since there are some negative vibes. In HLL there is no draw, only a winner or loser. If you lose, which can happen, it only depends on how you lose. We didn't get annihilated. We didn't even lose a single point. The only thing we failed to do was to take a captured point. That means the defense is rock solid and the offense will work next time as well.

War history:
Unfortunately, my recording is missing until 1:01:00 IGT. In the beginning, my group consisted of 5 players. We brought supplies to Jacobs Barn and built defenses and garrisons. After about 20 minutes, 3 troopers switched to attack squads. I stayed in the Jacobs Barn with CPL.Hayden to watch for enemies and airheads.
The action began for us when at 56:30 IGT an airhead landed in F4 Keypad 3. We directed the defense to the northwest of Jacobs. A short time later, however, at 55:00 IGT, our OP at Jacobs became hot, forcing us to withdraw to the point. It was only one trooper who snuck up from the east and was taken out on sight with a headshot. As troops continued to approach from the direction of the airhead, PFC.Saltzbrand and PFC.Callum returned to the defense. At 46:30 IGT, I received orders from SL SSG.Rhodes to establish a garrison at E6. I did not make it to 38:30 IGT because it took several minutes after travel time to destroy one of the 8 existing garrisons. CPL.Hayden, PFC.Saltzbrandt and PFC.Callum meanwhile successfully defended Jacobs Barn. At 35 IGT I received orders from the SL to take the hill in F4 keypad 5, south of North Pass.
Here we fought all the time against everything that appeared. With 26 IGT, CPL.Flanagan joined our group. Unfortunately, we were not able to destroy the enemy forces, as the balance of forces was even. But we were able to successfully defend our offensive garrison. It was a constant back and forth until about 10:00 IGT when SPC.Landry joined our squad. The enemy troops seemed to have retreated to the strongpoint. I gave CPL.Flanagan pings on the point, which he successfully took out with his machine gun. At about 5:00 IGT we went into full attack, but unfortunately it was too late to win.
