At the beginning of January, Russian Forces were observed building troop strength along the Western Georgia/Russian border. In February, an F-22 Raptor from the United States Air Force reported 2x Russian Su-35 Flankers had crossed the Georgian border over the Caucasus Mountain Range and their flight was forced to engage.
