COMBAT AFTER ACTION REPORT

Element Callsign: GUNSLINGER 7
Element Leader: Corporal Dan Maco

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

N/A

Pro:
Comms were clean
good orders
good flow of op
Medical was on point

Cons:
Medics left on blackhawks while some objecions were in progess
Some gunsligner teams pushed forward before all teams were set
Atlas 2 was spilt up and one member was attached to gunslinger 1 without making 7 aware.
Medical teams should never be spilt up should always move in their teams even while being "assigned" to cover a callsign if its traveling with them on transport or supporting in a assault.

Pro:
Communication was clean between ATLAS and GUNSLINGER 7
Great orders from GUNSLINGER 7
Medical was on point, saved serval lives as a collective with both ATLAS 1 & 2

Cons:
ATLAS 1 elements were left on buffalo while some of the gunslinger teams
were suffering some red casualties and some yellow wounded. We really
couldn't land and help aid wounded team members. ATLAS 2 was separated
and were sort of ineffective but they managed to get wounded stable and back
into the fight.

Pros
  • All Objectives Completed
  • All "Survived" (2x Armad)
Cons :
  • Objective 2 plan was confusing, as Gun 2 plan was not evident.
  • All need to work on our bounding, some crossfire ff, stoping in movment and so on.
  • Some comunication of order misshaps.
  • Lack of Disapline for the first two objectives, Obj 2 and Obj 4.
  • Frendly fire shot down frendly un armed UAV.
  • Suggestion from real life executions of heli evac, spreading out LZ between multiple LZ's, as we got honed in by indirect and enemy quick reaction forces at Obj 2.

Element Callsign: Gunslinger-8
Element Leader: Specialist Ron Sypolt

Pros:
Excellent mission with well defined objectives that was enjoyable to see run
Good work by buffalo flight handling sometimes chaotic

Cons:
Some lack of clarity towards Gun-8's tasking
Cluttered comms with people stepping on other's communications a lot

Pro:
  • Very good execution for what's been a fireteam of pubs under WO1.Ronnings + a fireteam lead by a pub for most of the time
  • A complex mission really well planned out by Gun6 (Swagger.J) and controlled by Zeus (Mazinski.H)
  • Interesting objectives, sensible actions by the enemy
  • Night time action, good use of NV and tracers
Cons:
  • Cluttered platoon comms, steapping over people, some unclear commands from higher
  • Blue on blue incident from our AR gunner, due to confusion under night time conditions and possibly NVGs off (unable to see lasers on friendlies)
  • Some confusion in execution between squads resulting in effective lack of SBF on some of the objectives, most likely own fault at describing Gun-2 intent to SBF elements
  • Getting the final assault taken away from us and given to Gun-1. We were being reinserted from RTB rearm after we've spent most of our ammo being an SBF for a previous Gun-1 assault and almost on line with Gun-1 already, 2 minutes out tops. We got the assault taken away from us all under the pretense of "it's time to wrap up" - and then had to wait just to get to LZ and RTB again only to debrief on the ground in base instead of at LZ - squad was very miffed about this
  • We essentially had to SBF twice and got to assault only once on a very lightly defended initial objective; Gun-1 got all the fun and all the praise in the debrief - they did great, but at the same time, they did most of the direct action and most of the fun stuff. Squad felt like we didn't get our own equal chance to shine, which would've been the last objective assault.

Pro:
  • Lots of work & complex mission

  • Bright enough w/ Moonlight to see targets, not hills

Public Player:
PFC Zander

Pro:
comms were good.
fast movement overall during entire op
only two black casualty during entire OP, due to ARMA being ARMA, unable to be saved.
was my desicion to split up ATLAS-2 to cover seperate squads (PFC Zander going with GUN-1), leading to him being able to completely heal the mass cas event (2 red,2 yellow) almost by the time i was able to reach him from GUN-3 location. Having run with him in previous WFW i knew he would be able to keep his head on his shoulders and do a damn good job, to which he did.
Fun night vision OP

Cons:
some miscommunications with gun-3 during IDF, leading to me getting on BUFF when they were running the other direction. Was then rectified with pickup.
Unsure how we were supposed to provide CCP's with constant moving objectives was my decision to embed with Gunslinger elements

I added you and Mazinski manually. Keep in mind to put your names on the actual list as well as that is what we copy/paste to the tracker.

Thank you! :)
