OIC AAR Comments:

PRO :
  • Saw some really good team control, excellent use of fire commands from the team to the squad level.
  • Good Communication from all Call Signs. Good use of SPOTREPs and SITREPs.
  • Breaking contact went pretty well. Multiple instances of needing to move the platoon back a couple hundred meters, dig in and prepare for the next assault.
  • Some excellent close in CAS Calls, some danger close.
  • Good use of CCP's, Tactical Resupply from Buffalo. Resupply's kept the platoon fighting. Fantastic use of airdropping cargo from the UH-60

CONS:
  • Not enough ACE Reports. It was basically a 2 hour fire fight, used our discretion to call in resupply but could of been timed better with active reporting.
  • Not all danger close CAS missions were briefed to mission to commander. Led to some confusion on what was hitting near friendly positions.
  • 7 wasn't equipped with a short range, led to some un need cross talk on 03, instead of command short range.
  • Late OPORD publication. Amount of contact just felt overwhelming for the majority of the mission. Like a tidal wave of enemies that just kept coming.

Warrant Officer 1 Jeran "Binks" Berg

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Warrant Officer 1 Mike "Nines" Currier (TITAN-1 Phase)

Pros:
Good communications between aviation and Infidel despite clutter.
Many effective strikes, all aircraft were involved in round-the-clock fire missions which were carried out with amazing precision.
Plenty of aircraft in the air and everything went relatively smoothly.
The C-130 phase was well executed from Titan 1's perspective despite being chaotic.
Fantastic mission from Beiter as always!

Cons:
Comms were very cluttered but that was to be expected. Everything went relatively smoothly nonetheless.
We seem to have been having issues with clipping through the carrier deck recently.

Pro:
  • Plenty of medical work
  • Good communication within the team
  • Good communication between teams
  • Orders were echoed consistently
  • CTAB marks were used when comms broke down in one instance to convey a casualty call. Ended up being a mass casualty incident which we were able to respond to. Fantastic use of CTAB.
  • Both teams aided in loading casualties into Titans during exfil. Teams performed diligently under fire to ensure everyone made it onto the birds.
  • Great fun, thank you Beiter!

Con:
  • Exfil needed to be faster.

Pro:
-Fun op, ran mostly air superiority
-excellent work from all fixed wing assets, some great calls for fire

Con:
-Radio chatter on 08 was really bad at times, lots of people stepping on each other, or cutting in for trivial comms during a nine line or fire mission. This was pretty disappointing to see.
-The Super Hornet has lots of issues. I find that once I RTB to refuel it glitches and wont turn back on after full sequence startup. Had to switch to F35 at one point.

Element Callsign: BUFFALO-1
Element Leader: Warrant Officer 1 Hamm.C

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Warrant Officer 1 Sparrow.P
Reservist Toliman.K

Pros:
  • Interesting and enjoyable OP, for sure....tons of fun. Great job mission maker.
  • Re-inserts and re-supply efforts and strategies were A+.
  • BUFFALO-1 Teamwork was fantastic and a great representation of the excellence Alpha Company strives for. Great work C/P Sparrow.P
  • Airdrops were decidedly preferential and utilized by BUFFALO-1 due to a) Safety due to very hot LZ redness/danger, b) LZ obstructions, c) ability at low flight level to quickly airdrop re-supply without parachute/wind drift and quick max-power egress. This was an excellent and advantageous tactic and produced great results for Ground Forces.
  • CSAR of downed SPARROW-1 crew was wildly complex and challenging, but quickly executed by the team. The extremely tight, confined-area location of the downed SPARROW-1 bird, on the side of ridge line, with slope, obstacles and the extremely hot enemy contact made it nearly untenable, however, BUFFALO-1 continued and was able to extract the downed aircrew. Hoist hook was very briefly contemplated but was deemed unsuitable as BUFFALO-1 was taking damage from extremely aggressive enemy contact and therefore unable to hover. Excellent team work here.
  • Excellent Crew Chief and door gun work by Reservist Toliman.K, who continually provided excellent overhead cover fire and aircraft obstacle clearance reports.
  • At extract, BUFFALO-1 was unfortunately downed by some kind of unknown parachute drops from overhead, entangling our main rotor resulting in a brief autorotation and crash landing. Our injured aircrew survived and continued the fight by taking a nearby armed HMMWV and provided suppressive cover fire for the C-130 that was taxiing and taking off at that point. Excellent team work here also.
  • Intra-bird comms were very good.

Cons:
  • Comms on the CAS net (LR08) were highly cluttered. Simply way too much talking and lack of brevity made for a mess. The amount of constant transmissions and radio step-ons made it very difficult for other aircraft to transmit messages. While INFIDEL-1 Gann.T did a great job, pilots need to just keep calm, keep brevity in mind and keep the channel deconflicted.

Pros:
  • Hectic fun had by all and highly enjoyable scenario.
  • Immersive mission and parameters. Due to the fantastic zuesing and little details the objectives and environment became believable.
  • Good communication within the squad and within platoon net.
  • Phenomenal work from ATLAS.
  • Exciting and hair raising exfil.
  • Excellent squad execution and performance from FTLs.
  • Felt safe guarded at all times from air assets. Enjoyed watching them work and INFIDEL alike.
  • Good resupplies.
  • Perfect mission pacing and fallback times.
  • Excellent performance from SIERRA.
  • Mackey.A constantly provided a calm and focused presence as 6. Top work controlling the mission execution.
  • Successful mission due to the steadfast performance from all involved.

Cons:
  • Slightly light on the ground meant for a large defensive area having holes within.
  • Slow staging due to late player arrivals.
  • Although short distance there was no convoy net set.
