Pros:
  • Operations Plan was Solid, Operations brief was good!
  • Solid Performance by gunner, took out at least 6 infantry squads, 2 armed technicals, 4 bunkers, and 1 IFV, 1 Attack Helicopter.
  • Good Coordination between infantry and vehicles during the initial landing, movements, and assault on 4th and 5th objectives.
  • Overall a good operation

Cons:
  • Lost rear security at 2nd objective since we pulled away all Security elements resulting in Sierra's and medical elements being outflanked.
  • Didn't get Resupplied until the vehicle went black on Ammo close to the end of the operation even though ACE Reports were frequently sent.
  • Lots of overstepping on Long Range 03 with over 10 Callsigns on the same channel makes it chaotic and impossible to get radio traffic through at certain moments.

Element Callsign: ATLAS-2
Element Leader: Sergeant Sam.T
Element Members:

Specialist Albright.J
Specialist Turn.J
Specialist Winters.R

Pros:
  • A good amount of surgical fractures! Lots of time with casualties for the surgeon compared to other OPs.
  • Decent amount of work overall and few good multiple-casualty events.
  • The team members tonight were terrific! Both public players and billeted medics were on the ball!
  • No black tags under care tonight.
  • Inter-team comms were solid.
  • A lot more gun time tonight than usual tonight thanks to the allocation as security

Cons:
  • Got left behind the platoon several times, including during our resupply.
  • Communication with -7 and the platoon as a whole seemed very rocky tonight.
  • Lots of patients running off, sometimes several times. This seemed to be more due to the chaos at specific points and some newer players being under care.
  • Our team was nearly Blue-on-Blued by a friendly fire team. Unsure how this happened as we were moving with our vehicle, as directed by 7, and behind the friendly forces relative to the advanced.
  • One surgical patient was zeus-healed while under the knife.
  • The decision to allocate a medical team to hold a flank in lieu of reallocating a squad lead to several missed calls.

Pros:
  • Fun .
  • Fantastic crew.
  • Good response from Zeus with repair perms.
  • Excellent C&C with Viking 5
    • Different radio net for vics?
    • A lot of activity and movements for flank protection.
  • Superb pre-planning
    • We had AP and SBFs with dismount points before we got briefed.
  • Seemed like good cooperation between a lot of the leadership elements.
    • Support-flexing on demand.
    • Rotations in place.
    • Omitting top for brevities.
  • OpOrd in place ahead of time.
  • Great start to the new year!

Cons:
  • Resupply by Zeus, admittedly in the interest of time
  • The first explosion on the beach?
  • Optics of vehicles. I recognize amphibious capabilities, but they are in general terrible.

Pros:
  • Excellent Op with excellent OPORD (one of the best) and prep. Great mission and great start to new Cav year.
  • Carrier Ops are always super-fun.
  • Really enjoyed the presence and utilization of the Amphibious Assaults ships greatly and the re-spawn point being located there.
  • A lot of stick-time for Buff-1 Pilot, doing re-inserts.
Cons:
  • Lack of Alpha Co. rotary attendance. No BISON attack helo and no BUFFALO Crew.
  • CAS comms: May want to consider using 2 different channels when using 2 infidels to de-conflict comms.
  • BUFFALO-1 was curiously not utilized for logistics resupply.

Pros:
  • Phenomenal OP. Attention detail was superb, but not the least bit surprising.

  • Good use of airspace, deconfliction and coordination.

Cons:
  • None from the INFIDEL side.
