Pros:

  • A lot of work, due to the scenario.
  • Good CCP
  • Other members of other squads gave Atlas good medical pass-downs.
Cons:
  • Only had 4 Atlas members and by the end only two members.
  • Start of the Operation, we didn't get the normal load out saved, used weeks before.
  • Need to call out the name of the person that you are working on and the action you are performing.
  • A few times members were running low on medical supplies.
  • Member died a few times(carrying people)
  • Medical perms got reset (Velasquez)

Pros:
  • Fantastic send-off for official WFW OPs; glad we managed to sneak the last one in!
  • The OP was super busy throughout due to the level of sheer chaos.
  • The concept was terrific; defense and "fighting retreat" style operations always lead to a meat grinder of an experience that keeps everyone busy!
  • Air was incredibly helpful and understanding of the ground situation once Infidel stepped away.
  • PL took up the IDF calls, which was an absolute lifesaver as I was already trying to do the duties of a PSG, PM, and forward air controller simultaneously.
  • Naval Extract was extraordinary! The Mk V SOCs are unique vehicles and super fun to use. I'd love to see these return a little more frequently in the upcoming year!
Cons:
  • Zeus Sandbox that we used was not up to date with equipment or staging arsenals. This led to significant kit issues and extra time building kits up. ATLAS was hit especially hard by this, as the older arsenal whitelist iterations do not have most of their equipment. I would like to see this corrected not only for OPs like this but to enable sandboxes to be used in MCCs when the base file isn't conducive to it.
  • The lack of an Infidel and Platoon Medic meant that a large part of that responsibility fell upon the PSG. Both units were incredibly understanding, but I feel that their experiences were somewhat handicapped by my constant radio net swapping and inability to coordinate consistently.
  • Resupply crates didn't have the right M4 magazines. But then again, the AR and MMG gunners were the ones who needed the most ammo!
  • The sudden appearance of a ZSU-23-4 in the middle of the town was a shock; by the time that had been communicated to BISON, and they knew where it was, they were already being engaged.

All in all an excellent OP. I think the only thing I would change would be running as Atlas because that was a fantastic OP for the medics! I haven't seen that level of carnage since Scottland II!
