Pros:
  • Squad coms was good overall
  • everyone had fun got to blow up some shit
  • Good mission concept

Cons:

  • Felt like we were sitting around at certain OBJs or ORPs for too long
  • Could've got dropped off closer to the OBJ with the air assault
  • It felt like we weren't an assault squad, towards the end we weren't able to actually clear the specific areas that BANDIT-1 was designated to clear. by the time we got to the OBJ BANDIT-2 already cleared it after coming out of their lane.
  • Top-down leadership was good, but we had some miss communications at certain OBJs, getting bogged down at some points but we were able to push and clear the contacts if we took any

Element Callsign: HOG Flight
Element Leader:
WO1.Sutodoreh.W "Scooter"

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
WO1.Sutodoreh.W "Scooter"
SPC.Morton.Q "Handy"

Pros:
  • Good flight comms
  • Good infidel comms
  • Probably the best IR Strobe discipline seen by infantry to date, not once did I see friendlies without a strobe which helped making sure no blue on blue
  • Even though it wasn't a LOT of contact, it was enough to keep us busy and having fun
  • Enough MANPADs to keep us on our toes, always nice to have an active threat as fixed-wing to force us to back off a little and be careful
  • Goel.B is a 10/10 mission maker
Cons:
  • Morton had some issues with the aircraft, not sure what bug but it wasn't letting him take off toward the end
  • REarm/refuel etc wasn't working great, need to look at the scripting to make sure the USAF service menu is enabled properly

Specialist Hilberg.A
Corporal Westcott.R
Specialist Hogue.R
Staff Sergeant Abate.L
Specialist Xinos.T
Specialist Turner.L
Specialist Bishop.C
First Lieutenant Gann.T

Pros:
  • Squad performed excellently
  • Great intra squad comms
  • Good platoon movements
  • Stacked squad with tons of exp.
  • Well organized generally

Cons:

  • Pacing, town clear occupied about 15 mins at the end, could have dropped closer and take more obj
  • One FT of mine, and I will totally take responsibility for this, crossed into Bandit-1's lane and took the compound before them.
  • No Exfil at the end. Like I mentioned at the leader's AAR it really isn't fair to the pilots for us to end ops without giving them the opportunity to do their jobs. As an analogy, if Zeus healed casualties before medics were done with care because it would be more efficient, it similarly would deny the medics the ability to do their job even if the casualty was almost certainly going to be revived without a hitch. To me, Cav ops shouldn't just be about the infantry. It denies our support assets the opportunity to shine and communicates to them that we do not view their role as important - something I know isn't true.
