Hi all,

This thread serves as a feedback location for the DCS Tactical Realism server to faciliate the S3 development process. Please be as clear as possible with any issues or feedback so we can review them.

This feedback should specifically pertain to the Foothold/Public Mission file, SRS or LotATC. For issues with any operations, please address those in the AAR.

Reacting to all replies with :cavdab: if changes are complete to implement the request.

Suggestion for improvement to persistent server mission file.

The Arma mission files have a cool feature where, when nobody is online, the server pauses so that the enemy does not just overrun everything when nobody is online.
I think this would work great when implemented to the persistent file in DCS and would allow for a more difficult mission file. it would also help with people who pull their hair out when objectives are taken and lost overnight because the file kept playing out.

This could get easily implemented in theory, since the fox client is always on, give it the ability to pause the server when there is only one (the fox client) player online. if pausing messes up the file, id think that slowing down to 1/16ths or 1/32nd speed

Also would be nice if the when the server restarts, it would save the units spawned in besides just the upgraded units. if that is too hard, refunding it would also be cool.

Not sure if anyone else aggress but I would like to the time changed . The sun is little overwhelming most of the time. Also would like to see a little more enemy aircraft besides mi8s. That's my feedback hope it helps

1. SRS auto connect please. Tested it working and auto connecting on other Public servers.
2. Extra FOB's for Choppers around recently gained areas - easier access for them to move in on next objectives.
3. Static and moving Sea TGTS (That don't respawn) So at beginning of server mission cycle gives an opportunity to conduct sea ops.

I think that if there was a tanker spawn more inland, say above krymsk after it is captured, it would see a lot more use as a viable way to stay in the air as cap between the waves or red air

Agreed that the way map is now we are newrñy always fighting directly into the sun, maybe change default mission start time and/or month.

Add 2.8 weather and precipitation events

Ive got a couple suggestions,
I was wondering if there is an possibility to get some Su-27 and/or J-11s, and maybe some A-10As in Krymsk?

The 27 is more agile and maneuverable than the 33, the J-11A is basically identifal to the Su-27, but has fox-3s and also is moddable.

I've also have been wondering what you think about arming MiG-29s Su-27 with HARMs.
There is an way to do it and its quite simple and not such a big task given the amount of MiG-29s(3 as of now) and Su-27s (none yet)
I could assist with that part aswell.

I second the recommendation to add assets to Krymsk or a similar airfield other than Anapa. I fly the UH-60L almost exclusively and last night's main objective was still 160km from there! That's nothing for our jet jockeys but for me thats an hour fifteen one way. I made it about halfway there when Endex was called.

Also, on a selfish note, I would like to see more work for the UH-60L. It is part of our official livery, its freeware, and I do not (and will not) buy the UH-1 which still ends up on a lot of briefings. Having more to do with the A-29B, Hercules, and UH-60L (and maybe the A-4) would be a nice thing for folks new to the game who might be unable or reluctant to buy payware premium aircraft.

CVN-71 in the training area on Tactical Realism 1 needs F-14Bs added for Tomcat Pilots to Practice Carrier Operations.

could we get the A4 module in the server? I really enjoy playing on the server and would be great if I can use the a4 in it

If this is mission-specific feedback, this should be posted in the operation's AAR. Otherwise for Foothold, I added UH-60L slots just now for Echo and India waypoints.
