Pros:
  • Good fun had by all.
  • Expert use of AT.
  • Brilliant squad teamwork and tactical clearing.
  • Heavy enemy contact throughout.
  • Good utilisation of convoy net.
  • Enemy AI felt threatening and aggressive. Created an immersive environment.
  • Hard clearing buildings actually had contact inside them rather than a thankless task.
  • Assault on objective felt well executed.
  • Fast response from ATLAS.
  • Good work from all leadership and support assets.
Cons:
  • Lambs danger mod only an optional and not a standard in the modlist.
  • Cook off bug was prominent throughout.
  • CTAB crashes.
  • Server crash and yellow chaining despite server not being pushed to limit.
  • Flipping destroyed IED models.
  • Lower turnout for what has been a brilliant run on operation numbers.

Pros:

  • Fun op
  • Lots of things to shoot at and be shot at
  • Newbies did a fantastic job
  • Got video from ground of some VERY cool dogfights overhead

Cons:
  • Obvious technical issues, not just red chain but ACRE also causing radio communication problems
  • Raider was a little bored in terms of not getting much CAS to do -- was too occupied with red air the whole time (mixed blessing)
  • Eagle got spawn killed once or twice after respawn by the same red air that got them there -- frustrating for them
  • if low attendance, better probably to minimize vics because each vic means 1-3 people who aren't in the fight, sitting around a vehicle instead

Pros:
  • Very cool scenario, loved the map, objectives and night time ops.
  • First time doing platoon level stuff, many lessons learnt, had a hectic but fun time.
  • Love the use of Lambs Danger AI.
  • Great work from all element leaders
Cons:
  • ACRE Issues at the start of the mission, was resolved by the 40-60 minute mark.
  • Lack of tasking for Buffalo-1
  • My own fumbling when dealing with Havoc caused them to be KIA unnecessarily
  • OP ended in a red chain / server crash
  • Cooking off firearms has returned!?

Pros:
  • Fun operation
  • Fired lots of hell fires with good effect

Cons:
  • No lock Warning On Missiles
  • Didn't fire the chain gun once
Comment:
  • If we could flip the map at 5pm and then start at 530pm, I feel that would work better. Particularly if we can turn off the AI before the operation start then kick it on when the time comes
  • I recorded the Operation so if anyone wants to see my point of view I have it

Additional Personnel:

Pros:

  • Good movements and coordination.
  • Good communication between the squad as a whole and at the platoon level.
  • Excellent mission concept and playthrough until the crash.
Cons:
  • Lots of Arma-isms (Stryker Explosion and Mineret Stairs of Doom)
  • Rolled into and dismounted into 2 unspotted and un-called-out MG nests.
  • A couple of really tanker OPFORs, possibly related to the next point.
  • Lots of server stability issues, yellow chains, and an eventual crash 30 minutes early.
Additional:
  • HAVOC had no perms? Had to remote-detonate instead of defusing IEDs.

Pros:
  • Great SL dispatches
  • Atlas was excellent with treatment/dispatches
  • Good comms on Support Net

Cons:

  • Substantial radio issues at the beginning of the operation. Ultimately, I pushed support net to 95. The radio issues appear to be getting worse, not better. It would be nice if S3 could investigate and see if we can solve because it is extremely disruptive.
  • Troopers were going black tag abnormally quickly.

Pros:
  • Fun op. Good amount of ATLAS work.
  • Very clean 6-line CASEVAC requests, which were enabled by good communication from squad and platoon level.
  • Good overall communication. Very little stepping on one another.

Cons:
  • Server crash bad.
  • Ensure ATLAS vehicles are assigned at the beginning of the op as ACE medical vehicles. Allows for surgery in the field, which cannot done without that perm enabled.

Pros:

  • Excellent convoy operations
    • We could have an advantage from an SOP for how to conduct a convoy with a convoy net. An official class would be optimal in order to streamline these kinds of operations. It would make it easier to have everyone on the same page when it comes to what is expected from everyone.
  • An early OPORD made allowed leadership to make their plans early on.
    • As a "last minute" 6 I was not available to make use of this, but it should definitively be standard practice as it frees up time for ground briefs and convoy Warning Orders to be conducted in the allotted 30-minute briefing.
  • All around good fun from me, and I enjoyed this to the utmost degree.
Cons:
  • Slow start due to Acre problems.
    • This seems to be a recurring issue and constantly causes delays. I think sincerely that if we were to improve on this the experience of the 7Cav as a whole would be better. Generally, this happens more often on the WFW files rather than the regular Lib or HM file on TacR.
    • We should adopt a time limit of 15 minutes if we're unable to make radio contact and then use alternate methods to communicate. Options here include, preferably in order:
      • Try another radio net (9# as a general SOP), and get confirmation from everyone on the swap.
      • Use CTab/Android text messages with commands, acknowledgments, and ace/sitreps.
      • Smoke Signals as discussed in the briefing.
  • Splitting off the AlphaCo pilots on a different OBJ is an option we can use in order to get relevant stick-time for our pilots, but at the end of the day, it might feel meaningless for both the infantry and pilots. I appreciate the efforts from Mission Control on this.
