Private Crowley.T
Recruit Tobias.A

Pros:
  • Our squad destroyed 6x enemy transports full of infantry , 2x squads of parachutists, and a couple tanks and APCs during the defense of the town.
  • Good majority of the squad had fun.
  • Was cool to play as a different faction.
Cons:
  • Similar uniforms on both sides led to a couple friendly fire incidents between the squads.
  • Our squad was a bit too large for the 2 vehicles that we drove in the beginning of the OP.
  • Squad communication on shortrange was an issue at times with some people not hearing each other.
  • Our squad wasn't notified that resupply was at the CCP, leading to our squad being completely black on AT and almost black on rifle mags for most of the defense.
  • Some of my squad was allegedly strafed by Tiger-1 before the push onto the objective, leading to multiple black tags.

Pros:
  • Hanging out with 68W is always fun
  • Mixed feelings on two men teams, while also being flexible it leaves the atlas teams fragile
Cons:
  • Bleed out timer was weirdly too short
  • Problem with pub on comms
  • Personally had problems with bugs and slingshoting

Element Callsign: Aviation
Element Leader: Specialist William "Scooter" Sutodoreh

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Corporal John Terp (TIGER 1-1)
Corporal Philip Sparrow (TIGER 1-2)
Specialist Mat Spin (INFIDEL 1-2)
Specialist Leo Villmarsson (ALBATROSS 2)
Specialist William "Scooter" Sutodoreh (INFIDEL 1-1
Private First Class Jeran Berg (ALBATROSS 1)

Pros:

  • Pilots did a fantastic job hitting their targets in vehicles that don't have the usual targeting pods, thermals, etc.
  • Pretty good comms between 6 and infidel
  • Albatross-1 went down and then did a fantastic job making himself useful by helping the atlas medical team -- made the best of a bad situation
  • Really fun operation -- I know there is disagreement on this but I feel that having a chaotic/losing operation like this sometimes is very good overall, we get lazy when every single operation is easy and low-threat
Cons:

  • Buildings couldn't be entered
  • Ideally would have separate dedicated rotary transport and rotary CAS -- our poor TIGER 1 spent the entire operation being pulled in opposite directions and given conflicting orders
  • Attack aviation needs to work on coordinating so that there's never a moment when no air assets available -- especially important in a mission where opfor trucks/rotary are spawning in and need to be able to be interdicted very quickly before they can rocket run friendlies
  • Some disagreement about my (infidel's) decision to continue operating our CAS/transport Hind in CAS mode. From infidel's perspective, sending one of our two CAS assets into a hot AO to exfil a pilot is too much risk at a time when enemy are active and in close proximity to friendlies, but understand that from a downed pilot's perspective being stranded without being able to return to base is frustrating. Regardless, and opinions will differ on questions like this, we (infidel) would have made the same call again.
  • 5 wishes Infidel was closer to him during op for communication reasons

Pros:
  • Our squad destroyed multiple platoon size attacks on our position
  • Good hard fighting to get into the town
  • Was cool to play as a different faction.
Cons:
  • Similar uniforms on both sides led to a couple friendly fire incidents between the squads.
  • First assault felt like at the climax the enemy might have been deleted? we felt on the verge of being wiped out and then almost immediately we weren't in contact anymore, not sure if that was Zeus or not, but it felt a little unnatural. If it was zeus recommend tapering it off a little more slowly, if not my mistake, in either case GREAT MISSION!!!

Pros:
  • Good fun had by all, fantastic mission parameters.
  • Challenging environment.
  • Brilliant squad cohesion and teamwork.
  • Heavy enemy contact throughout.
  • Change up with different faction and equipment.
  • Superb violence and aggressive movement.
  • Good reaction to contact.
  • Thorough spotreps.
  • Good work from all leadership and support assets.
Cons:
  • Better determination needed on uniforms to help negate blu on blu incidents.
  • Lost vehicles and ammo due to becoming ARMA'd in the middle of the firefight. Subsequent explosions wiped squad.
  • More AT needed all round.
  • Mission spawned buildings created a brilliant urban environment however they came with there own AI issues.
  • IDF needs to be neutralised quicker.
  • Possibility of having access to fortify tool for bunkers and sandbags. Especially in a defence scenario like this.
  • Initial vehicles spaces only had 8 personell room when 9 is needed. Had to reload new Vic and slowed initial progress.
Nice image I took enroute

Pros:
  • Convoy net established made it easy to communicate and allowed for a swift resolution of a vehicle breakdown after an "ARMA" incident.
  • Great action upon reaching RP and had good security for a while
    • Some elements got too attached to the convoy net and were unable to hear orders given on Plt. net.
  • There were intents for resupplies and actions were taken by Tiger-1
    • This is something that should be included in the ground breifing by Infidel in order to expedite.
    • There is probably an SOP on a resupply call that was not taken into consideration.
    • The grace of Godfather had us covered.
  • Great ACE report allowed decision-making by 6 and Atlas coordination by 7 to flow swiftly and accurately.
    • We had two instances of complete squad wipes which made it a challenge to react to.
  • I had an excellent time with responsive squads and great teamwork with 7.
  • Step off was nicely timed with 6 and their forward recon element.
Cons:
  • Infidel sped ahead of the convoy, trying to make good use of the time. They should have maintained the Order of march.
  • Miscommunication had O3 bring only one, instead of two vehicles.
  • Break contact happened too slowly and caused issues with the timing aspect.
