Pros:

  • Really fun OP
  • TC's performed very well
  • Close game

Cons:
  • May need to confirm rules on crewmates jumping out of vics and staying on strongpoint
  • Switching between commander and infantry squad was too much for my small brain

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element: Staff Sergeant Sotelo.R

Pros:
  • Tug-of-War between both teams, multiple moments of tense back in forth holding points
  • Solid comms and coordination between all tanks
  • Exciting little side-battle between me and Beat as the team commanders
  • We got the win
Cons:
  • Low number of attendees

Element Callsign: Axis Tank 1 Commander
Element Leader: Specialist Lee.R

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Private First Class Mitchell.L
Sergeant Major West.B

Pros:

  • 11/10 OP. 100% would play again
  • Comms extremely solid
  • Mitchell.L Great driver with good map knowledge, West.B great gunner always hit where I pinged, racked many valuable kills
  • Wide northern flank completely destroyed heavy armors by surprise and freed up middle point to guarantee a win late game
  • Really proud of how we played today, being TC the first time in an OP was a little bit nervous. But as ASL, it was a great learning experience and I cannot wait to practice TC more

Cons:
  • Don't know if it was a con, but small number of participants made tanking so fun because there was little to none infantry sneaking around and ruining small Tank v Tank battles
  • Although it was really funny seeing 2 crewmen hugging each other in a bunker to contest the point, we need to put the rule that the crewmen's tank is their coffins too
  • Got hit by one tank on the side, got bombing run right after, and then get shot by another tank from the front, in a span of 10 seconds. That's cold >: (

COMBAT AFTER-ACTION REPORT

Element Callsign: Axis Tank Commander
Element Leader: Sergeant John D'Amico

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Corporal Cecil Bearden

Pros:

  • Excellent map choice
  • Lots of exciting moments while fighting in the light/recon tanks
  • Excellent communication between the tanks
  • 10/10 (would sign up again)
  • Just imagine, if you can, 6 tanks vs 6 tanks with this ruleset.
Cons:
  • Low attendance, we need to get the word out about this operation and tell people how fun it was. That may mean people need to step up and play as tank commanders so more people can get in the fight, but it's well worth it for the good times.
  • While holding the hardpoint and completely blank on ammo in the light tank, I cheesed the rules a bit by hopping out of the tank on the hardpoint and hiding in the bunker. I stayed there and held the hardpoint until friendly tanks could get close enough to cover the point. There should probably be a rule against this for the future.
