For those still playing on standard settings in windows and HLL here is a good video I found a few months ago to maximize your pc performing in HLL for max FPS.

A lot of good info in the video. I'm personally not a big fan of the nvidia control panel changes or the 120 fov personally though.

I noticed yesterday my game was super glittery anyone know what setting gives that effect tbh its cheesy af and like to remove it. I think its meant to ne lense flare or something but felt like i was playing hll anime edition...

Might be your AA setting, I forget which one I use but some of them make everything shimmery like that, especially foliage.
