they would only be needed for the insert at the beginning so I left them out. I can make a variant with slots for them if I've got pilots who are cool with just handling insertion and that's it

It was an honest mistake and obviously a bad oversight. I can see how it would be really disappointing dying and not knowing that, so if that happened to you, I'm sincerely sorry! A lot of volunteer work goes into these operations to be as fun as possible for everyone, but they're not always perfect. There's no malicious intent behind it when bad mistakes are made. I'm sure the mission makers will learn from the mistake and get better for it next time, so patience with your brothers and sisters that are volunteering their time, effort, and technical skills to provide great content for you and everyone else to have fun with every week is sincerely appreciated, so thank you!
