Bloggins.R ...This is one reason I highly encourage all Fixed Wing Pilots to take and [hopefully] pass the Door Gunner course!... especially since the most valued and cherished hunk of kit on a plane are the ejection seats, cause they are used ALL the time!

....Sometimes, the number of CSAR's just keep comin lol... which is why the Door Gunner Course is a great course for our downed Fixed Wing Pilots!! You can get revenge on those bastards for shooting you down!!

I agree, it should be a pre req to FW adv trg.... that and an intro to texas holdem poker, in case we get sequestered to a helo sqn... plus SPF, for those hrs of soaking up the sun...oh and a hammock.

Think last several ops I've been at with both its been all buffalo's or raiders getting CSARed so maybe we need to focus on keeping the whirly bird thingies in the air?

... I'm just saying, when we CSAR our Fixed Wing guys, I'm so impressed by how fast the get to the chopper, the DG course would help them with Door Gunner skills.
