PROS:
  • Everyone in the Section had a great time and thought the FTX was great!
  • Communication in Command Chat was Clean Clear and Concise
  • Operation Planning and Effort was greatly appreciated
CONS:
  • No call out for the VIP Arriving till last minute and we engaged the VIP (Was told it was LIVE soon as MAP FLIP) We took that as Set-Up Phase but all go.
  • Felt as if the Team died out towards the end of the Fight
SIDE NOTE:
  • Thank you for all the effort put into this Operation, this is the Standard!!!
  • Can we make a Operation Baggage Train but in Vietnam?

Only myself, however I'm not easy to manage.

Pros:
  • Very fun OP, thanks to A Co. Company staff for putting it together.
  • Very good command strategy for the USA side, Mac for coordinating SL's and planning, excellence in execution from Squad Lead
  • Great job from Walden, USA Tank squad, huge battlefield impact.
Cons:
  • Opord wasn't followed by all troopers and "scenario pilot" was killed multiple times, although verbally warned multiple times

Pros:

  • So many compliments on the organization and execution of the FTX. Not only did you deal with a high turnout flawlessly, it was quick and efficient. That is how every OP/FTX should go.
  • Every had high compliments of the Narrative OPORD
  • Thank you for the support
  • Tons of fun trying to be sneaky and river rat from the south (fail)
1/3 hot drops via heli were successful - lots of fun trying
  • SO CLOSE to rescuing the pilot (not including Fenrir's kill of the pilot two minutes in)
  • Heli drops were a blast trying to make work
  • Defense was strong - but not at all easy

Cons:
  • River rats was not successful ( fun trying)
  • hotwashing with MAc

Pros:
1.Good comms all around, never was guessing what was happening in the greater fight and my squad was always making sure I knew they understood and were executing orders. Both squad and team as a whole was working well together.

2. Scenario and Narrative OPORD clearly had passion and effort put into it and it paid off because it was GREAT, one of the best Operations I've attended.
Really glad it got the population turnout that it did as it needed and deserved it.

3. Squad had fun, little negatives. Both sides put up a great fight and seemed fairly well balanced.

4. US showed some fantastic use of helicopters and hot drops I had never seen before. Was quite the sight to behold!

5. Seriously, my squad did great! I really enjoyed playing with you guys, thanks for the fun time!

Cons:

1. Nothing, it good fun all around!

PVT Rogers.F

  • Pros:

Well-planned and executed FTX, each phase flowed well and transitioned well
  • Proved the value of helicopters as we tried to determine if personnel were being dropped, garrisons being established, etc. behind our lines
  • Calls for fire were plentiful and seemed effective
  • Both sides responded well to attacks/counter-attacks
  • Proved the value of having interior lines, a horseshoe-shaped perimeter where, especially on MEDEVAC station, US forces were able to rapidly shift and respond to NVA attacks

    Cons:
  • Some confusion about the VIP, recommend having them in an enemy uniform that is different than other enemy uniforms to make them stand out to avoid the ease of "icon identification" and have it more difficult for friendly forces to locate to add to realism and create a fog of battle
  • Pre-planned mortar positions were good, but should consider the range beyond the objective (ex. plan for mortar fire to extend about 150m beyond the objective to isolate it)

Pros:

  • Narrative for the OP was solid and turnout was amazing to see
  • As platoon commander, it was great to see that squad leads within my platoon knew their assignments and were placing move marks for where they needed to be prior to being told
  • Platoon QRF squad did an excellent job following orders and filling in where they were needed

Cons:

  • Toward the end of our assault, NVA command comms got fairly quiet
  • NVA failed to keep new spawns coming after a certain point, seemed to rely on the same blue zone garrisons far too much
  • VIP was killed early and forced the end of the phase before it was won by the other side, need to find a way to mitigate that.

Pros:

  • Hard fought match with close calls throughout, great gameplay from both sides of the battlefield!
  • The OPORD was well designed and the ROE for the match was different and fun. Not too many rules added which is always nice and just enough to make it new and insteresting. Great job A-CO!

Cons:

  • Command chat chatter at the last 30 minutes was near non existent on the NVA. In rebuttal to me saying this, the excuse was "it was a long match, after 1 and a half hours its tiring, etc" which is absolutely not an appropriate response. We operate in a game where matches last 1 1/2 hours consistently. This FTX is not the first time a game has gone the full distance.
  • I was unaware as a recon team if I could travel into locked territory or not, which I wish was stated clearly on the OPORD. I should've asked in preplanning if my team was allowed. Maybe in the future adding a line for recon team ROE would be helpful, and also simply asking would have worked as well, so I too am partly to blame.
  • In regards to the enemy VIP, having the friendly team commander sitting right next to the VIP could help. "Don't shoot the enemy next to the Commander."
