Pros:
Good comms

Cons:
Long wait time at beginning, I think it could've benefitted from phase 1 being unlimited lives for small forces of Axis and the time they save from 502nd getting captured to be the time they get to build defenses.

  • Airborne training was used very well, specially 7 man
  • Setting up OPs deep in enemy territory was thrilling
Cons:
  • nothing really, i'm just old and slow

Pros:
  • progression of the op and objectives worked to cause some invented chaos
  • command comms were fine and worked out for the most part
  • squad worked well to create and maintain attack vectors on the northside of the town centre point

Cons:
  • Setup time was a little brutal to sit and wait - might have been nice to maybe have the Allies stage as a mobile crash force rather than just footing it
  • during the town centre combat the team should have been shifting to push as a single when an angle of attack was generated, but this is a minor complaint

Pros:
  • Troopers had fun
  • Command comms were great
  • OPORD was nice and simple for an Infantry SL
  • Troopers and squads were very flexible to shift and redeploy to various zones
  • We had plenty of time to cap and set up on 502nd
  • 1LT.Hazen.D did a stellar job tasking squads to effective areas
  • Troopers demonstrated great improvement on tactical basics, making it a ton of fun to maneuver and not die a ton
Cons:
  • We started contesting 502nd at the start of the game potentially ending the match before it began. It was awkward to jump in and out of the hardpoint

Pros:
  • Everyone enjoyed themselves
  • I like the objective based FTXs since they are fun and unique. I hope we keep doing that, since it adds layers to the game.
  • The team did a lot of swapping around squads to hit the point from multiple directions. Just had to keep probing until we fully enveloped them to find the weak-point. Finally achieved a breakthrough with Roderick's squad as he cleared the obstacles on the East side. This allowed Sotelo's tank to break through and seal the deal. The engineers on the other side did their job very well at keeping us locked out for quite some time.
Cons:
  • Some of the rules weren't super clear. For example, I pulled some guys back to pumping station because I didn't know if the enemies were allowed to capture the objective or not. The enemies took down the manpower nodes, so I didn't know if that meant I would no longer have command abilities. I had to ask a lot of questions to clarify things during the middle of the op.
  • The wait time caused things to devolve in the beginning. The op didn't start until 40 minutes after rally. So people got bored and were horsing around, then an errant grenade wiped the whole team, causing the axis to start capping last objective. This caused us to not be able to spawn at center HQ, and nearly caused us to lose the point. That's on me as a commander for not reigning the guys in.
  • Tankers had to sit out the first round and roll as infantry. Also, no heavy tanks for them kind of discourages their participation in future events.
